alaska sucks some times

most of the time the stars are out but you cant see the moon...why have stars out if the moon isnt????can some one clarify why this happens????:sigh:

    Well first of where in Alaska are you? Secondly is it during this time, spring that is, that you are visiting? Also I was born in Alaska.

    A Full Moon is highest in the sky, and a crescent moon is lowest.

    We (hopefully) know that in the Northern Hemisphere, at local noon, the Sun is highest in the sky during the summer, and lowest during the winter. A Full Moon is always opposite of the Sun in the sky.

    Check when the next full moon will be, at local midnight it will be highest in the sky.

    I was born in Anchorage I don't remember much of living up there though.
