Analysis of my Cosmic Dream

Hello everypony,

You may have recently read my theories and experiences with cosmic dreams. If you haven't already, you can find it under the title 'What if I told you we could be free whenever we wish?'. I received many private messages asking for more detail about the dream and after a while, I decided to dive into a deep analysis. I have contacted a Dream Interpreter and have done some of my own research, and I plan to put together a folder of my raw notes and larger accounts of the dream. I hope to get to the bottom of it... So I've decided to share a little of my research with you. :p

Summary of Dream Interpreter's first comments

  • [*=left]Thinking about what you can do as a result of the dream is more important than extensive analysis of the symbols. The symbols speak for themselves.
[*=left]A memory is experienced. A dream is experienced. Memory= dream. It doesn’t matter where the memory came from because you have it regardless.
[*=left]You were given the dream because it was much better than the path you were on. Positivity brought astonishment and astonishment brought ‘invitation to spiritual realm’. Fear stops positivity and was fabricated in this dream.
[*=left]Feelings of astonishment/wonderment feel so alien in society. That is why it was odd to feel those emotions after the dream.
    [*=left]Lucid/recurring nature= for memory preservation.
[*=left]Most important thing is that you were given a snapshot of how life is supposed to be and that you can make the world a better place. Great gifts come with responsibility to humanity and so now have to make real world = dream-fear. That is why I am sharing the cosmic dream.

After some research, I found that a feather symbolizes warmth and comfort and an enjoyment in life. Purple is the colour of individuality and fun, white represents dignity and peace, and burgundy symbolizes the potential of power. Walking through a forest indicates a transitional stage in life, yet I was not walking through the forest in my dream. I never entered it in the first place. Could this suggest that I have passed some kind of transitional phase? After finding that rocks are a symbol of permanence and that sand accounts for a new perspective, this began to make sense. I came from a transitional phase into a new, solid perspective.

The ocean stood for tranquillity and renewal whereas the stone carvings represented creativity. I recall that the stone carvings faced towards the ocean, and so this may suggest that my creative side was being given a boost of renewal. The cave represented refuge and protection and crystals within are symbols of unity and development. Could it be argued that because I was afraid to go into the cave, I was afraid of being unprotected whilst under a process of change?
The snakes in my dream have many meanings to them. I found that they could represent knowledge and wisdom, yet they can also represent a fear of commitment caused by a fear of loss, and hidden fears that are yet to arise. I was unable to research what the split in the sand may indicate. It was a neat cut in the earth, appearing as though the wind had never touched it.

As previously stated, I do not believe strongly in symbolism and that it somehow ‘dictates our futures’. Though, when I came across the symbolic meaning for ‘beach’, I paused in a state of surprise and awe. A beach represents the meeting between two states of mind: The structured, processing side of your mind and the abstract, creative side of your mind. Again, the beach plagues my mind and I continue to think about it with each waking hour. Already, I’ve accepted it as a memory rather than a dream. And why not? If it feels right, how can it be wrong?
