Boycotting Discovery Channel

So, recently Discovery Channel has been promoting a stunt by amateur naturalist Paul Rosolie, who plans to put on a protective suit and allow an anaconda to swallow him.

Anybody with even a basic understanding of snake anatomy can tell you that this is incredibly dangerous, not just to the idiot in the suit, but also to the snake itself.
Once a snake swallows a meal, it will only regurgitate in a situation of extreme stress.
This means that getting Rosolie out safely would involve either killing the snake, or stressing it to the point that it regurgitates him.
The regurgitation process itself is also dangerous to the snake, as it often results in damage to the snake's esophagus.

This publicity stunt by the Discovery Channel is blatant animal cruelty, and should not be allowed to happen.
That's why I'm asking my fellow Everypony members to join me, and many others, as we boycott Discovery Channel.
I'm also asking you to sign the the petition to stop this stunt from happening at all.
