Brony Reviews: First Review

Today on top of Reviews and Comparisons which I haven't done in a while I will bring you another review series called Brony Reviews most of the time I shall review episodes from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Season 4 which started on Saturday November 23 while my friend Josh Thomas was spending the weekend with me however sometimes it will be about fan made videos or even a really good fan fiction story that I have read recently anyway without further ado let's get started.

Brony Reviews: First Review Season Four Premiere Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 1 and Part 2 by dbzponyninja as i'm known as on Fimfiction.net, GangsterRarity as i'm known as on Everypony.com and Fourstar Ball365 as i'm known as on Saiyanplanet.com Written on ‎November ‎24, ‎2013


It's been about nine months since the Season Three Finale episode Magical Mystery Cure first premiered/ aired on t.v. and now after a long wait new episodes of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic are once again here so what did I think of the two part Season Four Premiere episode let's find out right now?

Part one of the two part Season Four Finale episode starts off with Rainbow Dash teaching alicorn princess Twilight Sparkle how to fly so that she can pull off a amazing aerial trick for the Summer Sun Celebration which is once again happening just like on the two part Season One Premiere episode coincidentally called both Friendship is Magic Part One and Friendship is Magic Part Two, anyway after we see that Twilight is still getting used to her new wings that she got in Magical Mystery Cure which we also saw a little bit of in the Equestria Girls movie we are treated to a new opening/ intro which starts out the same as the opening/ intro for both Season two and Season three however we are soon treated to both a new picture at the end as well as the fact that both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are now both looking at the picture at the end.

After we come back from commercial break Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Rarity use the train to return to Ponyville so they can get the preparations ready for the Summer Sun Celebration in Ponyville while Twilight get's the preparations ready in Canterlot then after talking to Princess Celestia and going to sleep for the night Twilight wakes up to not only see that the sun and moon are both out at the same time but to also find out that both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are missing as well as the fact that somehow the Everfree Forest has come to life as is attacking ponies in Ponyville.

Thinking that Discord might be the one responsible even though he was reformed and became a good guy in the Season three episode Keep Calm and Flutter On however shortly after they find out that he really is not responsible for all this chaos Zecora the zebra is seen fleeing her home in the Everfree Forest and arrives safely in Ponyville with a magic potion that can only be activated with alicorn magic in hopes that she can figure out who is really responsible for this, when she drinks the magic potion it sends her back in time to when Princess Luna transformed into Nightmare Moon for the first time exactly one thousand years before her banishment to the moon and her return on the two part Season One premiere episode and that is where Part One of the Two Part Season Four Premiere episode ends.

Part Two of the two part Season Four Premiere episode begins where part one left off however it shows how Princess Celestia whielded The Elements of Harmony against Nightmare Moon and banished her to the moon for one thousand years, Twilight then returns to the present still unsure of who or what might have caused this to happen so Twilight drinks the potion again and goes back even further in time, however this time she see's Princess Celestia and Princess Luna wielding The Elements of Harmony against Discord and turning him into a stone statue before he escaped and returned in the two part Season two premiere episode Return of Harmony of course anyway after they turn him into a stone statue we see and find out about the Tree of Harmony and Twilight realizes upon returning to the present that the reason this is happening is because the Tree of Harmony is in trouble so they go inside the Everfree Forest to not only save the Tree of Harmony but to maybe also find Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

However after almost getting eaten and attacked by a crocodile called a cragodile the other five members of The Mane Six minus Princess Twilight Sparkle of course tell Twilight that maybe it would be better if since Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are missing maybe Twilight should go back to Ponyville while the other five members of The Mane Six go look for the Tree of Harmony as well as Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, then after a talk with Discord Twilight realises that she shouldn't have abandoned her friends and returns to the Everfree Forest this time with her friend and assistant Spike the dragon, when they arrive in the Everfree Forest Twilight tells Spike to climb up a tree and look for the other five members of The Mane Six however when he finds them and goes back down to tell her she get's attacked by plants that are spraying her with some sort of gas, Spike then goes to where The Mane Six are who comes to Twilight's rescue then shortly after that everypony and Spike finds the Tree of Harmony and realises that they have to give up their Elements of Harmony to save The Tree of Harmony which also frees Princess Celestia and Princess Luna who were trapped under a bunch of vines, after this a lock with six key holes appears and Princess Celestia tells Twilight that she doesn't know where the keys are located but Twilight and her friends will have to find all of them together. It is after this that we find out that while he wasn't directly involved Discord did plant the magic seeds in the ground that caused the Everfree Forest to come alive during his battle with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna the only reason it took one thousand years for the seeds and plants to grow and come alive was because the magic from the Tree of Harmony was able to halt the growing of the magic seeds until now that is.

Anyway the episode ends with Princess Luna lowering the moon at the Summer Sun Celebration while Princess Celestia raises the sun and Princess Twilight performs what looks like Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom however instead of a rainbow and sonic boom happening at the same time Twilight creates a large version of her cutie mark in the sky.


So what did I think of the Season Four premiere well not only do I think it is the best premiere episode so far but maybe even the best two part episode to date, not only did I enjoy seeing Discord again as well as Pinkie Pie being funny and random as usual but I also really enjoyed the flashback scenes as well all in all it was a really good episode.
