The episode starts off with Princess Twilight Sparkle looking all throughout her library treehouse in a attempt to find a book that will give her some clue as to what could be inside the locked chest from the previous episode however when she comes up empty her assistant and friend Spike the dragon belches up a letter from her former teacher who is still her mentor Princess Celestia, the letter suggest that she checks out the library in her and Princess Luna's old castle located within the Everfree Forest.

Then after we get back from commercial break we see Applejack and Rainbow Dash covered in bees while Pinkie Pie is watching them after a bee keeper pony arrives and ask for his bees back we find out that Applejack and Rainbow Dash are in a competition to determine who is the most daring pony while Pinkie Pie referees them and keeps score, even though it should be impossible somehow they managed to tie then after Pinkie Pie leaves saying that she needs to ring the school bell Applejack and Rainbow Dash decide they need another way to determine who is the most daring pony, shortly after that we see Rarity and Fluttershy headind for the old castle Rarity says she is going there to repair and restore old tapistry I guess Fluttershy is there so Rarity won't be alone and also for some reason Fluttershy brought her pet rabbit Angel bunny along with her.

We also see that Applejack and Rainbow Dash are going in there in order to see who can stay there the longest and the pony who does stay there the longest will be declared the most daring pony, Applejack also mentions the legend of The Pony of The Shadows who is believed to be hidden within the castle but that doesn't really come up again or is even mentioned again until later again in the episode.

Anyway while they are all inside the castle all of the ponies in there except for Twilight of course who is located in the library and reading about the castle itself keep falling into traps which eventually leads to Angel getting seperated from both Fluttershy and Rarity.

Then after many Scooby Doo references Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Rarity all wind up bumping in to each other however they are all too freaked out and scared to realise this especially Fluttershy who thinks that she just saw Angel being crushed by a falling column completly unaware of the fact that Angel is with Twilight and Spike who just so happens to hear all the commotion happening nearby so she uses a spell on all of them that freezes them in place but still allows them to talk.

Then when they all see and talk to each other we hear a organ being played which was also being played multiple times throughout the episode but for some reason none of the ponies in the castle could hear it being played until now that is so they all look around the castle until they see a cloaked figure playing the organ they take the cloak off to reveal that it was Pinkie Pie playing the organ all along, she wasn't trying to scare her friends she was just having fun.

The episode ends with alli six members of The Mane Six hanging out together and talking to each other when they come across Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's old journal and that is when they decide to make a shared journal of their own.


Now what did I think of the episode well it was really great and funny in some parts of the episode but the rest of the episode was just ok so all together it was just a ok episode.
