It's been a long time coming (Sorry about that T-T) but it's finally here!
First of all, let's talk BUCK!
The event was AWESOME! From start to finish, I had a blast, and most of that was because of the people that went! So I don't forget anything, let's think of everything as it happened. First of all, met Grey at the train station as I arrived and headed to the venue. We saw a huge line of people and almost felt bad when we walked straight past them into the (smaller) performers and guests line. Once inside we started prepping for our first slot at the table while talking to people. Tyro met some awesome tabletop RPG guys which he had fun playing with. When our time came, we set up at the table and started blasting the music! From the reception we got, I'd say people were pretty happy with it! After our tabletime, we hung out with some awesome people like the Ask Cheeseyburger artist and Firenze! Tyro and I spent a little time on a dance machine (where my hubris bested me) before heading out to lunch at Subway. Once we got back, we tried a little of everything, bought some stuff and had fun until our second set at the table. Then it was the PINKIE PIE PARTY! The music was banging and the people were hyped up for this party which was awesome! After an opening by Sketchy Sounds, RainbowCrash88 played his live set which had some awesome songs from Fighting is Magic! Unfortunately I couldn't stay for Laserpon3's show, but I was told it was awesome (which makes me wish I saw it even more >.>). Heading back to the hotel, we played some Smash Bros on the wii that I brought before having a little Mario Kart tournament (videos incoming) which Cheesey won, while fun was had by all!
The second day was much more chill. I was on the broadcasters panel first thing, then EPR had a set upstairs where we took requests and talked to people. We played "Call Upon the Seaponies" at the PERFECT time which definitely got us some notice. Grey arrived around lunch time so we went out to eat before hanging out with Firenze. We saw the charity auction where things were sold at ridiculous prices; a derpy plushie got sold for £300 and a Britannia plushie and accessories sold for £1000! After a final set at the table, we headed to the artist workshop for a while before heading back to the hotel for more wii games.
All in all, the event itself was awesome, but what really made the time there worth it was the bronies, my friends who I shared the experience with! So to Grey Knightmare, Merriweather, PoeticPony, Tyro the Fox, Firenze, Cheesey Burger, Pipsqueak, Urban, and everyone I wish I could remember right now! YOU GUYS ROCK.
Official videos from the organizers can be found by clicking here! I know Tyro has some videos of his own set up!
Also, tonight (Saturday) we have an interview with the musician Icky (formerly KeepOnRockin) so if you like his hardstyle kicks, be sure to join us! If you want a question answered, be sure to post here!
Shoutout time! Darkshine would like to give a shoutout to Calvin and Joshua for being kind around the forums, and Waterflame for coping with an issue in the chat. Great job guys!
Thank you guys for being patient, I'll see you next week!
