Congratulations to my family and their friends.

I just came back from a local charity event which was aimed at raising money for Action For Children, a local based charity aiming to help "the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people break through injustice, deprivation and inequality."

The night was an incredible success, nearly everybody had fun, there was live music, an auction, a raffle, y'know, your standard setup. It was organized by a woman and her friends who are also organizing a children's Halloween disco next month, and last month set out to climb the UK's 3 highest mountains in just 24 hours. Sadly, they failed due to mechanical fault as on the car ride between mountains, they encountered a punctured tire and a flat battery, but despite this, they raised roughly £2000 for the charity, prior to tonight.

Why does this concern me? The charity organizer is none other than my sister. She's organizing next month's disco, organized tonight's events and the mountain climb last month. She climbed the mountains with my cousin Bobby and she helped raise money at tonight's event with my two cousins Bobby and Jodie. They were unstoppable and I have never been prouder of my family in my life.

Usually, when I write comments like these, I often have nothing but bad things to say about my family, but this has opened my eyes, their overwhelming generosity, their kind hearts and determination has never made me happier.

Well done to my sister Kayleigh, my cousins Bobby and Jodie and their friends Sarah, Scott, Dan, Dave and Chris for climbing the mountains, being the drivers for the exhausted and tired mountain climbers, walking around raising money tonight and offering to set up a disco for the young children next month. (As a team, not all of them drove, not all of them climbed mountains etc.) I have never been prouder of anything in my life and I'm so glad it's people so close to my hearts that did this.

So, here's to a job well done and congratulations on discussing the possibility of doing it all again next year! Who knows, maybe this time next year I might even have a crack myself and come and join you. The overwhelming positivity, the great spirits and goodwill of you all have made me so proud.

Well done again guys, love you all and thank you for your hard work <3
