Equestria Girls Review

Rather than doing Reviews and Comparisons like I normally do I shall just do a review similarily to when I reviewed the Season 1 Finale episode of Littlest Pet Shop shortly after it came out today I shall be reviewing the movie I watched with my friend Josh Thomas on Saturday June 22 so without further ado let's start the review of My Little Pony Equestria Girls.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls is a movie based on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic since it's a cartoon movie and not a live action movie it features several of the various voice actresses and a few voice actors from the show it also has Meghan Mccarthy, Jayson Thiessen, Sarah Wall, Devon Cody and Daniel Ingram all of which also work on the show.

The movie starts with all six members of The Mane Six (Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle) all going to The Crystal Empire for a celebration however the former unicorn is not used to being a alicorn and is reluctant about her royal duties and all of them are spending the night there as is Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, in the middle of the night one of Princess Celestia's former students before Princess Twilight Sparkle Sunset Shimmer steals Twilight's crown which is also her Element of Harmony.

While stealing the crown in the middle of the night Twilight and the other five members of The Mane Six chase her around the castle at night and accidentally knock her crown through a magic mirror which is also a portal to another world/ universe and Princess Cadence, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna all tell her that she alone must go to the other world and retrieve her crown and Element of Harmony before the end of the third day or otherwise the portal to the other world will close and she will be stuck there for several years before it will open again and she will be able to return to Equestria, the other five members of The Mane Six and Spike the dragon are told not to go with her but that doesn't stop Spike from going anyway, when the two of them step through the portal and wind up in the other world Twilight has turned into a teenage girl and Spike has turned into a talking dog.

Twilight finds out that the Fluttershy from the other world found the crown and gave it to Princess Celestia from the other world who is the Principal at Canterlot High and the only way to get it back is to become Princess of The Fall Formal and beat Sunset Shimmer who is also vying for the title however not being used to being a teenage human girl she is having a hard time fitting in and along the way is constantly being blackmailed by Snips and Snails who are working for Sunset Shimmer however along the way she meets the other world versions of the Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Rarity who along with other world Fluttershy help counter Sunset Shimmer's attempts at blackmail and help her win back her crown.

However just minutes after Twilight wins back her crown and Element of Harmony Sunset Shimmer gets Snips and Snails to kidnap Spike and after letting Spike go Sunset Shimmer threatens to destroy the poral unless Twilight gives her back the crown and afrer refusing to give her back the crown and playing hot potato with the crown Sunset Shimmer puts the crown on her head and turns into a demon and hypnotizes the students however Twilight once again regains her crown and with help from the other five members of The Mane Six use the other Elements of Harmony which have materialized in the other world and not only excise Sunset Shimmer's demon form but also undo her hypnosis on the rest of the students.

After a quick dance and celebration scene Twilight and Spike return to Equestria.

So what did I think about the movie well I liked it alot and just like the actual show that it's based on not only did it have great catchy songs composed by Daniel Ingram but it also had several funny lines and moments and I enjoyed it alot.
