Equestria girls

Before I spend my time watching equestria girls I need to know if its worth the time and money... I don't wanna go to the official thread for threat of spoilers so those who have seen it please tell me was it a complete train wreck or was it amazing? Or is it somewhere in between?

    From what I read here, it sounds like a good movie.

    "[...] the positives outweigh the negatives. The story is good and the characters were great to see, especially on the big screen. It’s funny, cute, and reminds everyone that friendship IS magic. It’s a pretty good thing to check out in the meantime while waiting for Season 4 I’d say. And be sure to stay during the credits for…muffins."

    I'll agree with the snippets from the review. You'll get plenty of references to the show, a story that is better than what the pessimists (like me) had thought it might be, in a competent and fun package. It was enjoyable and delivered on the message of friendship and even got me used to the idea of the human-verse. However the questions I had after watching make me think it's likely a one-off to help Hasbro sell its toys (which is probably the one thing that holds true).

    Overall, a pretty good movie.
