Yes, it is I, Poetic taking up the task this Friday, so don't blame Foxy if I muck this up :derpe:​

First on the agenda is the possible addition of a new chat channel to the real time chat (found of course at the top of the page). The idea of this channel is to give the users an opportunity to talk to the staff about the site in a proper conversation, therefore giving you a chance to speak and share your ideas about the site or complaints in general through a chat as opposed to a messaging system. We as staff promise to listen to you, and hope that this gives you the chance to say what's on your mind. As of this moment it is a concept for the future, but what we need to know is if you want it, or you think we need it, so leave a comment about it!

Next, congratulations to Lightning Mustang, Tyro the Fox, and Mike406, who have all stepped up to be mods on the chat channels! I'm sure they'll do well, and hopefully will be able to keep the real time chat monitored and safe for work at all times, and generally make things a bit more controlled.

Another thing that has been discussed amongst the staff is the revision of the rules for the forum and radio. We could do with some feedback on the rules currently; telling us some of the strengths and weaknesses currently as well as providing some ideas for improvement would be very much appreciated. So in the next couple of weeks, expect a few changes to the rules like some being added and some being removed to make things run a bit smoother and make everypony.com an even nicer place to be!

Something that we are aware of is that, as the staff, we all make mistakes, and we can work on and solve them if you tell us what is the matter. Users have always been free to have open discussion about the staff, as staff are a major part of any site's operation, so don't be discouraged to tell somepony about what we can do to improve! As such, all complaints about the staff or about the site in general can be submitted to the "Community Discussion" sub-forum in "Site Discussion", which will be aptly renamed to the "Complaint Box".

Just a reminder to all you ponies, we as the Community Patrol are here to listen and help you on the site, and will always be there for you, Foxytail being the head leader of the patrol of course.

Yetione has asked Foxy (who in turn has asked me) to post about his trip to London! He's hoping to organize a meetup in the City of London, UK, so if you'd like to meet him and Foxy in person, just check out this thread. They hope to see you there!

    About the forum rules, i can't see alot of wrong things with it. What you could still do is add the risks of breaking certain (more serious) rules. Or give more explanation on what exactly happens when you break them.

    I was also thinking you could make a more specific rule about Necro-bumping, and generally be more loose on that rule entirely. For example, tell people after how much time a thread is considered "old". Also, allow Necro-bumping if the thread in question could still interest people. It beats making people post a new thread about it.

    As for the staff member issues and stuff, please refer to my blog. I posted some things that might be helpful.

    The chat channel for talking directly to staff members seems like an awesome idea.

    I simply loved the video, but i couldn't understand a thing of Lightning Mustang's part... :(

    And if you don't mind me asking, how come Foxy isn't posting this week? :derpe:

    I'm not posting this week because of personal issues that have come up preventing me from being able to keep track of things. Some may have noticed I've not been active on the site or skype much. I have edited it to include your shoutout though Rarit E, I hope you forgive my tardiness there.

    The rules are old and in general need an update. They'll be cleaned up, made more specific, etc.

    I'm sorry that I live underwater, geez! Actually, it was that I wanted to get mine in on time, had other things happening IRL as well, and thus didn't get a chance to edit it. Also, my webcam mic is awful, but probably better than the built in mic my laptop has. I mostly was several feet away from my mic so that everypony could see the steampunk pony shirt to go with my steampunk hat and goggles, but now I know that distance away from mic does not make good quality sound. So I'll be sure to get all up close and uncomfortable next time. Or I'll totally just redo it, just for you <3

    Not my hat! It's what gives me my mystical steampunk and gumbo powers! Thanks for the compliment~.

    It was originally going to be another general/RP room, but this idea actually interests me greatly. I personally wouldn't mind doing this.
