Yes folks, it's Foxy's Community Post time! A great deal has happened this week so enough lollygagging, let's do this!

First of all, I'd like to announce that Everypony now has a third administrator. Would everyone please congratulate Berry Punch in their new role of Administrative Director! A very important role, we believe Berry is perfect for this and look forward to working with him in their new position.

EDIT: IT only just occurred to me that you guys wouldn't know what we mean by Administrative Director! To put it simply, when the staff decides to do something, such as a site project, fixing bugs or dealing with issues, Berry will be in charge of assigning who does what and making sure it gets done.

Second of all, the site is going to go through some changes. The staff room has been quite the busy place this week as many ideas get thrown around and considered. The rules are being refined, the spring theme layout is getting an update, and there's big big talk about changes, both minor and major that will affect us all. However, we still have a duty to you guys, and there is nothing that we'll force on you. You will be informed of everything that may happen so don't be afraid of us changing too much too soon! We know that we wouldn't have any of this without you. I'll be honest... there are some that won't like the ideas posed. The staff have expressed mixed feelings about some of the ideas, so we will need your help in making sure that the good ideas are kept while the not so good ones are left behind. Let's keep Everypony the place for EVERYPONY!

If you have any ideas for the site please post below, or better yet, post a topic in the site discussion forums! We love hearing your ideas and would like to hear every single one.

Thirdly, for all you artists out there, the Everypony Artist Training Grounds has officially started! If you draw ponies, or would like to learn to, then this is the place to check out! You can find all of the info by clicking right here, so come have a look and see if we can get those pencils and pens moving!

Lastly, I'd like us all to think about the community post itself. My intention in starting it was to allow you guys to know what's going on around the staff room, what changes have or will happen around the site as well as give you the chance to put your input into things, give you the chance to influence decisions and give us your ideas. Over the weeks, I've been feeling like I've not been doing enough... like I'm just a little news post with little to no input from you guys except from the comments.

If you'll allow, I want this to change. I want this to be a COMMUNITY post. So I offer my hooves out to you guys. What do you want to see? What do you want this to BE? Are you happy as it is or do have an idea for its improvement? PLEASE PLEASE give me your input so I can truly make this a community post and not just some weekly news post.

    First of all, congratulations to Berry Punch. I have to admit though, it's a promotion i didn't see coming. :p

    The community posts, i don't see much wrong with them. In fact, if there's one thing i'm waiting for every week, it's this. As for all those ideas going around, why not let the Beta team in on some of the stuff you're planning to do? If you want some input from members before actually doing anything, that'd be a good way to do it. Isn't that what the Beta testers group is for? That group has been around for weeks, and it still has the same 3 threads it started with. I admit the Beta testing group is more for actually testing the new things, but if anyone's interested in giving an opinion on future ideas, it'd be them, right? I remember posting something similar in my blog some time ago: The more info you give us, the more we can give back. If you must, send it only to members you can trust with it.

    As for giving you guys some opinions and ideas... I think i've done that enough over the past week. Quite frankly, i'm bone-dry out of ideas at the moment. :p
    If anything, i want to encourage others to do the same. Or at least be more active and interested in the threads of people who do have some ideas. (hint, hint) :p

    As for the Artist Training Grounds. I've given drawing a try, but i don't think i'll be able to submit something worthwile before the time is up! XD
    I'm absolutely hopeless at drawing. I'll definetly keep trying, but there's a good chance i'll be sitting the first one out. If i can suggest something that's more my strength, i'd say signature & avatar competitions. They seem to be quite popular on other forums i've been to in the past. Furthermore, i'd be able to share alot of wisdom when it comes to that.

    As usual, if i think of anything else, you'll hear about it one way or another. :)

    Berry Punch is a name I haven't heard for a while. I'm confused as to how this came about, to be honest- Nonetheless, congrats, Berry Punch, on gettin' to become an admin!
    I look forward to seeing the changes, and helping pick out the good'uns. I can't think of much I'd want added, myself, but I'd love to test out the new additions when they're added to the beta team section!
    And I'll check out the training grounds!

    I would just like to say thank you, thank you to Foxy and Grey for giving me this extraordinary opportunity, thank you to each and every member on the Everypony staff for being there to help me when I needed it most, and most of all, I would like to thank the community here at Everypony, if it wasn't for how lovely and caring you all are, I would never have stuck around for as long as I have. I will strive to not only be what you expect of me, but surpass those expectations and do all that I can do, and I'll be doing it for nobody else but you.

    I was just thinking about something pretty important you forgot to mention, Foxy. What exactly will Berry be in charge of as "Administrative Director"?

    Sounds fancy, but as far as i can tell, there's not a single regular member who knows what this position means.

    I think the art place is a great idea! And congrats, Berry!

    I also agree with Rarit E, the community post is fine. I need a little news update on the site like this, or I wouldn't know what was happening at all.

    And it would be cool if the beta team got more stuff to discuss, but eh. I don't mind if we don't. :D

    @Rarit E - If beta testers have ideas they'd like to pitch they can do so, as can non-beta testers. Site discussion forum ftw :)
