Dear everypony. I am not very good at writing reviews but I really feel like I need to do this. I had to watch gravity in my biology class because we had a substitute who made an executive decision that intead of watching GATTACA we were gonna watch gravity... This... Was possibly the worst executive decision a substitute teacher could have made. First off, it made everyone angry.we had watched the first half of GATTACA and not the second. Secondly, the sound system in the biology room sucked so through a large portion of the movie (the parts where it plays the heartbeat) it had horrid distortion that made it sound like a snare drum with shards of glass on it. Thirdly. This was just an awful movie... I couldn't get interested. There are only three characters throughout the whole movie, one of which is not even alive after the first 10 minutes. Then she gets thrown out into space for like 15 minutes, which was extremely annoying due to the sound system and the fact that nothing happened for an entire 15 minutes. Then the guy "Matt" saves her and takes her to the spaceship again, once again very little happened there that was actually relevant. It took them 20 minutes to get from their shuttle to the international space station, where Matt gets thrown out into space and left to die. She got into a damaged escape pod and just sat in it for more than half an hour, doing pretty much nothing, then she ended up traveling to a Chinese space station in it (which took a good half hour) and took their escape pod back to earth. I honestly don't think that good 3D effects would have saved this movie.. A movie needs more than two characters. Period. And if you aren't gonna have ore than two then the two who are there can't get along well... You also need to have more action and less just blank periods of time... I mean even Winnie the Pooh was better than gravity. I would not pay for it.
