That sucks, but I'm sure you'll find someone nice! I never had much luck with dating people I met IRL, so I switched to dating online. I've been with my gf 5 years now and am working towards moving there. Just keep your chin up, keep an open mind and love yourself first and foremost!

Well, this year I'm going to visit someone who I have feelings for and whom I know has feelings for me. We're sort of a non-relationship at this point, but I just enjoy our time together.

I'm working all day, & so's he. After I'm done working, I'm going to cook a nice dinner & drink some wine. In my PJs. Probably while watching something. Or perhaps I'll drink a lot of wine, it depends on how interesting the workday was.

It seems kind of silly to express all of your affection on one day, but I understand that's what society conditions us to do. However I hope you understand that you'd probably be better off finding someone you have a real connection with, instead of faking an attraction for a holiday or going overboard trying to appreciate someone you might barely know. When you do find your special somepony, make sure you appreciate them in little ways all the time instead of waiting until the once-a-year occasion for love comes around. If you think you'll be too lonely if you're alone this year, try going out or doing something fun with a group of your single friends.
