OK, first off: starting college should be awesome.

Remember school? Remember how everyone was superficial, immature and frustrated by the lack of freedom they were allowed?

Once your in college, that is gone! People you didn't get along with in school are not necessarily going to continue to be a problem in college as they aren't likely to be spending much time around you. You have more space and freedom.

As for looking for a job? It will always be hard. We're in harsh times and it's important that you never loose hope with looking for a job. Even so, start looking for alternative income as well. See if there's anything you're entitled to as a college student perhaps?
