If Twilight Becomes An Alicorn Why Is that A Problem?

Wait for the whistle before you throw stuff at me. LOL

In my relatively short time in this fandom I have found that there are a ton of people that are boiled over by even the thought of Twilight becoming an Alicorn (getting Pegasus wings). I'm having trouble finding anything wrong with that. Doesn't it make sense?

I mean If Twilight is under the training of Princess Celestia (and maybe Luna...based on the final scene from The Crystal Empire episode) perhaps she is being trained to be a successor? She is also now in royal line, due to her brother's marriage (boy that was such an awesome episode).

Okay...I am rambling...Twilight is being trained for a reason. We may not know what for yet but if she is to become someone on the scale of Celestia & Luna...it only makes sense that she ultimately becomes an Alicorn as well.

Okay. I am blowing the whistle. You may now start throwing stuff at me...or blowing holes in my logic.

    Of course, I agree with your point of view, and don't see a problem with it... but then would she just be "Princess of Magic?"

    I think you are right.

    Of course I now have to ask does one become a Princess by being a Sister to someone who married a Princess?

    Blagh, the reason why is:
    A) They won't make it believable. Honestly, that Crystal Empire? An ENTIRE Empire gone? Yeah, they BARELY got away with that...
    B) They already have enough problems animating both magic and wings, combining them both will probably increase production time and/or costs or decrease the show quality.
    C) What about all of the merch of her as a unicorn?

    An Alicorn in the Mane six'd be kinda weird. It'd knock the balance of the show around like a punching bag. Twilight'd be much more powerful and important than the other ponies, overshadowing her friends, she'd be knocking the casts crew off balance (There'd only be 1 unicorn... And an Alicorn in the mane six?), it seems more like Hasbro are pushing a toyline of Twilight Alicorn figures, which wouldn't be surprising as photos of them have already been released, in which case it'd mean Hasbro are pushing the shows writers away from using their imagination, setting them on tracks so they can promote the toys, meaning the shows overall quality may drop.

    But then, I might just be paranoid...

    If that's what they are going to do let's wait and see how it is done first. We shouldn't judge something before we see how everything plays out. These writers have done a pretty good job to thus point walking the balance beam. I bet they have some tricks up their sleeve.
