multi dimensional theort? how interesting. the idea is in a way valid because there are dimensions all around us. there is an equestria, its just really well hidden. in order to reach it you would....have to use at least a billion charges of pure energy and then break the sound barrier twice, within seven seconds of each other, thus sending you into a gateway dimesion, and allowing you to choose exactly where you desire to stop. choose equestria and bam, that's where you shall end up. now whether or not you become a pony is cannon fodder to critisism and speculation.
p.s. this is all assuming we dont die immediately affter cracking the sound barrier.

I'm sorry, but I'm contempt to staying alive and not opening up an interdimensional void that will increase pressure on the universe past the point where life could be supported. It would never work. At all. As much as I hate it.

Are you explaning how to make a wormhole between dimensions? Because that would be the only way to travel between the Multi-Verse and I'm not sure it's very feasiable right now. Even if you were able to obtain such energy which would probably onle be obtainable by using Anti-Matter and Matter which we can't mass produce right now. AND even if we were able to do such things we would need to know the exact position of said universe and the Planet. Which would require a lot of guessing. And checking. And chucking people into random dimensions and space. Sounds like fun right?

Edit: Just read that "Gateway Dimension" Part. A gateway dimension? I see dimensions more like Galaxies. All seperate and not connected in any way.

Wormhole transportation only takes us through different points in our dimension.
Dimensional travel is based on theories and science-fiction guessing. People believe we have different dimensions that are "what ifs" where it's the same world, but different decisions were made. (What a silly thing to idealize.)
Other people believe that there are other dimensions which are a result of a different "creation," where entirely different worlds and species were spawned. This, as Eichi cited, still means that we'd have to find an anchor point in that dimension for us to arrive in. (Since spacial positions change all the time what with planetary rotation and galactic solar system shifting.

The same answer can be given for people who theorize time travel. "It would've already happened, and it would've been all over the news."

For inter-dimensional travel to work, two dimensions would need to build portals that are anchor points, as well as travel-through points. So that you can send and receive. However, it would also require something get from one dimension to the other in the first place.
