I used to think I wasn't really goth, or even punk, and I never would be so obsessed with those loud bands and whatever "Phantom of the Opera" was like my sister was.

I was so wrong, dude. :laugh:

I've started having a harder time stuffing my darks into the washing machine than my lights. And I wear jeans & shirts multiple times in a row! I still haven't fully understood how wearing the same thing still leaves you with a huge pile...

Oh, and shoutout to Brandon Urie, leader of Panic! at the Disco. If ponies are your thing. I guess.

    It's good your expressing yourself, as long as you don't act high and mighty. Parents go by the stand by of 'It's just a phase' because they fear what they don't know and when they see it's not changing, they approach their child about it. It's parental physicology 101. But don't get me wrong, I do agree with you. A lot of what you enjoy doing are you own personal interests. Yeah some fade out and new ones take over, but it's never a phase. Most certainly when you've found a style of clothing to wear or a style of music you love. You'll never leave it.

    It's funny how stupid people can be when it comes to stuff like this that they don't understand. I do understand the fear, but at least making an effort to understand to some level would be better than blowing it off. That kinda sounds what your dealing with.

    I totally feel you on that one.
    I listen to a fair bit of music that's commonly stereotyped as music that only "depressed teens" could listen to (MCR, Linkin Park, Blink-182, Green Day, etc), and yet I'm an adult, still listening to all of that.
