So...
LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING.
If your goal is to raise money for a cause....
Would it be smart to turn down ANY money donated?
No no no no, let me finish. See, Pornhub is a rather large adult video website (obviously). Now, I'm not sure exactly HOW much they raised, but some sources say "significant". If you ask me, if Komen REALLY wanted to find a cure, then does it really matter where that cash comes from? While I can understand the concept of dirty money (money earned wrongfully), say Al-Qaeda just gave the United States of America a million bucks...
Bad analogy, but do you understand where I'm coming from? Turning down money isn't smart. While a for-profit-organization might have advantages in denying money from certain benefactors, a charity organization is just that. Charity. It's the organizer's job to gain money. It doesn't matter WHO, it doesn't matter WHERE, it just matters that you get it.
To tell you the truth, if I had breast cancer, I wouldn't give TWO ****S where that money came from. Would you? No. Hell no. You just want that f*cking cancer out. Am I right?
My expert sleuthing skills pulled up the following sites as sources.
http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/341745/3/Komen-group-rejects-porn-sites-breast-cancer-donations-
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/for...te-raises-funds-to-fight-Breast-Cancer?page=1 (Okay, so Escapist is totally reliable. Point?)
http://www.torontostandard.com/arti...s-considerable-monetary-donation-from-pornhub
http://www.usatoday.com/story/ondea...-breast-cancer-pornography-donations/1613781/
So, as you can see, most of all info released is pretty much the same. Good Guy 'Hub want's to donate, get's snubbed, now lookin' for more mammary cancer foundations.
I had fun writing this post. Out.
