Last Significant Addition to the Collection for a While

When I found out Hashbrony was issued a C&D for his amazing figures on Shapeways, even though I knew I was quitting my job, I felt compelled to get the two I really wanted since it was a "now or never" type situation. I ordered the Octavia and Derpy figures (they were still up on Shapeways, hadn't been taken down yet). Well, a couple days later, I got an email saying my order had been cancelled. See, Shapeways, though they hadn't taken the pages down yet, had already received the C&D, and so couldn't fulfill the order, and quite understandably so. They apologized for the inconvenience, which I always appreciate, even if it is just formality, and said they'd give me the amount of the order in store credit.

So, I looked around for other things that stood out on the site. After a lot of browsing, I settled on two things. One is a small figure of the human Elegy of Emptiness statue from Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (a.k.a. BEN), and a lovely little figure of Discord from another artist. They arrived in a timely manner, considering they're manufactured on order, and the both looked great. A bit of a hiccup with the Discord, though. When I opened it, one of the horns had broken off. I emailed the Shapeways Team and provided photographic evidence and they said they'd contact me once the appropriate course of action has been determined. I can't shake the feeling that might be their way of brushing me off, but oh well. I'll super glue the horn back on and await an email that may or may not come. I have hope that it will, but I'm not counting on it.
