Old School story

This post was inspired by "rerabox"'s post on how his school has yet to refund his money. Well, this is a story about how my school not only refused to refund our money, but (we believe) that they conspired to steal the student's books.
So, if you lose your textbook, you pay for it. There. Done deal.
Ugh, okay, screw being political. My brother and many, MANY other students lost a lot of textbooks. The old ones that they charge you full retail on even if they aren't in a condition good enough to give to a freakin' second-hand store. So, we pay up and stuff ends up all nice and jolly, right? Wrong, because get this: at the end of the school year, everyone apparently "found" their textbooks. At the office. When they did an all-call for each of the book's owners.
Personally, it looks pretty damn shady that the numerous text books lost would all reappear at the same time, near the very end of the school year. Granted, you do not have to pay for your textbooks as soon as you lose it. However, try passing Chem. with 2 semesters left with no textbook. I dare you. Comment or w/e, it's been awhile since I did a blog post.
Oh, and of course, the students that did not buy a textbook did not have to pay, but they probably failed that year. The students that DID could not get a refund because the books had already been used.
