Party of One is the very first episode of the show that i've ever seen and is the episode that got me interested in the show more than interested actually it completly blew me out of the park it was right there that I realized this show is nothing like the My Little Pony shows and movies of the past and even though I didn't find out what a Brony was until a few days later that fateful Summer day was when I became a Brony but anyway reminnescing aside let's get started with reviewing the episode. (Also on a completly unrelated side note My Little Pony is one of the few shows that I know the names of episode titles for also I also know the names of episode titles for Littlest Pet Shop, a few episodes of Spongebob Squarepants, Teen Titans Go and Ultimate Spiderman)

Anyway the episode starts with a normal ordinary and sunny day in Ponyville but then there is a knock on the door of Twilight Sparkle's library treehouse the lavender unicorn mare answers the door to see her hyper and energetic pink earth pony mare friend and fellow Element of Harmony bearer Pinkie Pie at the door, she goes door to door to the houses of her best friends and fellow Element of Harmony bearers other than her of course with invitation in hoof alongside her pet alligator with no teeth Gummy inviting them to the one year birthday party of Gummy while singing about it. (the song is titled Pinkie's Singing Telegram)

So anyway the six mares and fellow Element of Harmony bearers (Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle) commonly referred to as The Mane Six by both Bronies and Pegasisters alike go to the party and have lots of fun together the party ends with Twilight proclaming "Great party we should do this again soon", Pinkie Pie takes this literally and once again goes door to door to her friends houses inviting them to a After Birthday Party the next day however each of them comes up with excuses as to why they can't come and she starts to get suspicious about this and see's her friends acting even stranger and secretive than when they declined her party invitation so she's goes to one of her non Element of Harmony bearers friends Spike the dragon who is also Twilight's assistant and friend and asks him to confess.

The little dragon takes this literally and confesses to everything but what she wants him to confess to which is "Tell me that my friends are lying to me and avoiding me because they don't like my parties and they don't want to be my friends anymore!!!", however when Spike says this just so he can get some gems even though it's not true Pinkie Pie slips into both insanity and depression and when she starts going crazy and not only talking to inanimate objects but also naming them and giving them voices as well as making both semi funny yet creepy faces it was then I realized that this show is nothing like the previous My Little Pony shows of the past and I was actually enjoying it alot.

Shortly after this Rainbow Dash shows up at Pinkie Pie's house where she also works with Mr. and Mrs. Cake Sugarcube Corner and asks her to come with her to Sweet Apple Acres were Applejack lives and works at along with her older brother Big Macintosh, her little sister Applebloom and her grandmother Granny Smith however still feeling bitter, betrayed and maybe a little bit angry and Rainbow Dash she is unwilling to go therefore leaving the blue pegasus mare to drag the pink earth pony mare by her no longer pink curly tail all the way to Sweet Apple Acres.

The two mares go inside the barn where Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Twilight all shout surprise however Pinkie Pie is less than enthusiastic until she remembers that today is her birthday and that the reason her friends were being secretive and strange before was because they were planning her birthday party this causes Pinkie Pie's mane and tail to once again become curly and her to once again become happy and energetic.


Pinkie Pie apoligizes for being doubtful and angry at her friends and then the episode ends with all six members of The Mane Six, Spike and Gummy having fun at Pinkie Pie's party.

Anyway I really liked this episode two years ago and I really like it now even though there are episodes in both Season 2 and 3 and more than likely the currently unaired yet still announced Season 4 that are better than this episode most Bronies wouldn't be Bronies if it wasn't for this and other really good Season 1 episodes so as I say when i'm on the phone with either of my parents whether it's my mom or my dad "Bye bye now."
