Rant of the week #1!

I thought I should start up my rants of the week, like I used to on Ponyhoof. This week, the subject is teen pregnancy.

Me myself, I can't get pregnant, sadly. So I'm already jealous enough of the fillies who can, but the worst is careless teenage fillies. If you're gonna have sex, yeah, that's okay. It's healthy. JUST DON'T BE COMPLETELY STUPID WITH IT. HOLY HOOF THERE ARE CURRENTLY 17 PREGNANT FILLIES IN MY SCHOOL, 6 OF WHICH ARE FRESHMAN. FRESHMAN, FOR PONY'S SAKE. TWO OF WHICH BY THE SAME GUY. Seriously, ponies, what the hoof?! Yes, sex is natural, it's a common urge among ponies. BUT FOR CELESTIA'S SAKE JUST USE A CONDOM. Don't get pregnant with a foal you can't take care of. It's unfair to you and the foal. I see so many messed up ponies because their parents who are like, 14, 15 years apart from them can't take care of their freaking foal. I see this so much these days it's painful. And to top it off, when fillies ARE pregnant, IT'S ALL THEY TALK ABOUT TO ME. The worst person to talk to it about. It feels like they're rubbing it in and it makes me wanna kick them in the stomach. And they know I can't have foals. I know other people with my condition that get just as peeved off as I do, so don't say I'm a jerk because I'm not the only one who thinks this way. >:C It hurts me, it hurts others. Yes, you're pregnant, congradu-flanking-lations you should just give that kid up to a protection agency so the foal can get the attention and care it deserves.

/endrant. I'm going to be writing one of these every week, and some filler between then, so stay tuned, and stay hot.

    Condom's may help with preventing pregnancy and HIV AIDS but they don't help with preventing the other 46 odd STD's out there, some of which are more deadly then HIV.

    Not to mention that it's not the baby's fault, I personally don't like abortions, I think the baby should at least get a chance to live, even if it is at an orphanage.

    Okay. That was somewhat hard to read with the bronyspeak there.

    In any case, BAM! I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean. On the money with EVERY point! I mean, christ. One girl in our school has already had two babies. Just last week someone asked what she did with 'em. Did you abort it they said. Did you put it up for adoption they said. No. Do you want to know what she said? Her mom was taking care of it. Because she was so irresponsible and didn't make him use a condom.

    But hell, us guys... we're pretty bad too. Got one thing in mind. We're too excited to think 9 months ahead. Noo. Humans are all about immediate satisfaction. You get one of us riled up enough, the last thing on our mind is a piece of plastic. We always say we'll use one, but how often do we when we get right down to it? Not enough. HOWEVER! I still support a lower age for consensual sex. I do believe that they should be allowed to do as they please with their body. It's a freedom. However, I feel as much as we SHOULD enforce safe sex, it's a person's choice, no matter how it may hurt the economy. It's like how the BSA doesn't allow gays. I don't agree with it in itself, but I agree with the thought that as a PRIVATE organization they should do as they please. As a person, your body is yours. You should as you please with it.

    Excellent blog entry! You definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. I was talking about this same thing with friends about a week ago, and we all agree with you. They should at least put the baby up for adoption if they are going to be so reckless. As for the others talking about being pregnant around you, I'm sure you've already tried this, but have you told them how badly it makes you feel?
