Rant of the week #3!

So I'm just gonna jump into this.

Teachers. I've known a few good ones. BUT PLENTY OF BAD ONES. More bad than good, sadly enough.

I thank, every day, those good teachers for being good and not taking advantage of the fact that they could sit there and flank us all over and not get fired. But I know plenty that do and it drives me insane. I've had things like skipping out on help, failing or "losing" work for no reason, and flat out not teaching happen to myself and many of my friends. If you have any, ANY teachers like this, REPORT THEM. They may not get fired, but maybe like a pay dock or something. Just stand up and do something about it because it's those people bringing up the kids of each generation, and we already know where it's headed.

    My Spanish teacher was exactly like this. She taught inadequately, gave outrageous amounts of homework, and content in tests were never even taught!

    And another, I have good reason to believe she is racist, if not a little biased.

    I got a C in her class, but an A in Spanish 2 with a different teacher. Go figure.

    Heh. What you should do when you hand in an assessment is to bring two copies and get the teacher to sign YOUR copy of the assignment. If they lose the other copy and claim you never handed it in, hand them the signed copy. xD Works every time!

    I had an English teacher like that. She'd lose my assignments, and she'd grade based on favoritism, and she would occasionally "remind" us of a project that "was" due in one day, except she never actually TOLD us about it. In essence giving everybody one day to do a massive project. This not only caused my grade in her class to suffer, but because I had to skip all my OTHER homework to get her stupid projects done, my grade in OTHER classes suffered as well.

    Many a family event was cancelled because of her. >.>

    Other than that, any teachers that I have had that I struggled with were simply difficult because their teaching style did not match my learning style.

    My school has some of the greatest teachers ever.

    And no bad teachers that I can think of. Except for an incredibly inadequate maths teacher.

    I've only encountered good teachers, although that's because all my classmates are sensible. I kind of feel sorry for teachers who get the worst classes. Although a good teacher should be able to control everyone, yet still be friendly. That balance is hard to maintain if you're teaching a class of people who don't want to learn.
