Shiny pokemon woes (or joys) and a question about Radio 1.

Okay, first, Radio 1. As you may know, I'm from the US. From what I understand the normal DJ for Radio 1 is Greg James. Right? So, when does Pete Tong come on? That isn't only on Fridays, is it?

Next, shiny pokemon! I had a LONG post about this, but decided to shorten it to a list, in chronological order.
Play Pokemon Yellow. No good fire pokemon.
Get pissed at fire pokemon for have high attack instead of special.
Play Silver until I reach the time machine.
Send back my Typhlosion.
Play Yellow with amazing fire type!
Gameboy POCKET breaks. That's right, I had a Gameboy POCKET.
Decide to step up and buy a Gameboy Colour because I don't trust chargers.
Send out Typhlosion.
Dat mofo shiny as hell!
Had a shiny starter for almost 4 years and never even realized it.
Cry/Rejoice.

    I found a shiny pidgy once upon a time in my Ruby version. In the end I totally forgot that I had that thing and I ragequit on some gym without saving. Didn't realize what I did until a few days later DX

    ahh i once found a shiny Wingull, and now it is a Shiny Peliper of level 100 ;p

    I never had a shiny :(
    Got the pokerus in crystal, that's the only special things that's happened

    Shiny Typhlosion? My jelly levels have rapidly risen. Although I thought that you couldn't send Gen 2 pokemon to RBY?

    As for my shiny pokemon, the only one I found in the wild was a Mankey in LeafGreen. I also have the Red Gyarados and shiny Dratini that you get as a gift in White2, but they don't count.
