Solar Flame's rant of the week #2!

Yes, I'm still doing this! Wow! I think I may keep this up.

Anywhoozles, this week's rant is about something a little more recent. I'm pretty sure you've all heard by now about the launched attack on Pokemon recently from PETA. If you haven't, here's a link;

First of all, PETA is a joke of an organization as it is, with them flipping cheese about non-abusive circuses and all that jazz. But lately, they've been attacking games from Nintendo specifically.

Dear Nintendo, why the hoof haven't you sued their tails off yet for defacing first Cooking Mama, then MARIO, and NOW POKEMON?! Honestly, they're probably hoarding money to hire programmers to make these annoying demon-spoofs anyways.

And in the anime, IT'S ALL ABOUT MAKING FRIENDS WITH THESE CREATURES. They have flanking powers anyways, so if they wanted to run away, they would've pulled a MewTwo by now. If that clone of a pokemon was enough to whoop plot, then I'm sure Pikachu and Snivy would've run off by now as well. What's next, ~HEADLINE ON PETA WEBSITE- MY LITTLE PONY USES MAGIC TO BEAT UP CHANGELINGS, CONDEMN THE HOFF OUT OF IT~?! *faceground*

    And about that PETA... are they serious? Do people even believe this crap? They just seem like a bunch of trolls, if you ask me. Then again, that's what they say about bronies, so asdfghjkl.

    Seriously. It's worse than scientology.

    That is the best PETA stunt ever. I actually played the game to the end.

    To be honest, the site's well designed and all.

    And on another point, they've been making a stink about Pokemon for ages.

    Not to mention they are sorta right. They just introduced the fact to players that they MIGHT be the bad guys with Plasma.

    They've gone downhill so far. They've been talking about how "eating non-animal foods increases your sex drive" and "you will look beautiful if you don't abuse animals." I'm frankly getting sick of it. Around the end of last year, a group of friends and I crowded around a computer and had a good laugh at one of their campaigns. They're really doing it wrong at this point.

    As far as I'm concerned, the people of PETA don't even care about their own cause anymore. At one time, they were all about "don't abuse animals". Their views were just a little out there (especially to those of us who eat meat, or animal products). It seems to me that somewhere along the line, they collectively jumped off the deep end and began campaigning more against Nintendo IPs (Cooking Mama, Pokemon, Super Mario Brothers 3).

    I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I'm starting to think that the entire organization is some kind of joke by Anonymous.

    I never really took it seriously anyway...
