The worst happened again. Another shooting in Colorado. It is tragic to hear this news. I was aware of it since late friday from the news I read from my Wii. Just how is it that this can happen. Its just horrible. You go to see a primiere of a movie for a fun midnight flick and everything turns to chaos. Thanks to deranged individuals who decide to buy guns and kill innocent people. According to news resources. This person has not givin out a reason for his act of violence. This lunatic is an animal that deserves to be put out of his misery. You know whats a real outrage? Being able to purchase guns with ease in the United States. Its a tradition they say. I say its an excuse to facilitate pyschos to go on a killing spree. Guns are used for self-defence. BS! they're to kill whomever gets on your lawn.
Why should I care? Why shouldn't I?! I have friends who went to see the primiere of that movie. I would be devastated to hear such news. I say they should make it illegal to sale guns. I don't care how patriotic you are, its just not right. People died that night. Not just any people, important people. People that were loved. Who had futures. People who could have contributed to making this world a better place.

Now that I got that typed down. Lets continue with my boring vacation. A friend of mine came over to my house to show me the guitar that he was selling. It looks in good shape but I don't have a clue how to play. Anypony care showing me the basics?
I also went to a friends house to drink and hangout. I was aware that I myself was the designated driver so I controlled myself. Not that I don't know how to drink but I had to make sure I didn't get too tipsy. While driving back home, I ran out of gas. But I was already close to my house anyway so it wasn't all that bad. Thankfully I had a tank of gas with me. Also someone stopped to give me a little push. Thats what so great about my car. If someone sees that you stranded with a vocho they offer to help you.

So thats how things are. Hopefully everything will get better

    Even if it's illegal to sell guns, people will get guns. If people can't get guns, they find some other way to go on a deranged killing spree. Heck, anyone could just grab a kitchen knife and go stab someone.

    Weeell, the ever-present problem with banning guns: Only nice people listen to laws. Which means, as Rarit E said, only the bad people have guns then.

    The only way to prevent this is to put away the people who are doing it before they do it. Unfortunately that causes more problems if you arrest someone who was not actually planning anything of the sort just off suspicion.

    Honestly, the most the Government can do is put them away after the fact. It's up to the people at the scene to save lives, no matter how unfair that is.

    lol I like how after theres gun violence people want to take away the guns of the people that didn't do it.

    @ Rarity and Legion; Actually the guy that shot all those people in the theatre bought his guns legally. I do agree though all gun laws do is keep the guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens.

    I once read an article a few years ago about a 15-year old kid who stole his dad's gun (who was a police officer), and used it to steal a car. He shot the driver in the shoulder, pulled him out of the car, and took it for a joyride. The kid's mother sued Rockstar because she claimed her son got the idea from GTA 4.

    I couldn't facepalm hard enough to justify my feelings on that statement...

    1) Daddy police officer left his gun where anyone could easily get it.
    2) GTA 4 is rated for adults. He shouldn't legally have that game.
    3) The mother's reasoning was "How am i supposed to know what games my son buys?"

    Again, i still can't facepalm hard enough at this...

    The problem with guns is they're easy to get, even if you can't buy them legally. Also, isn't there a rule for buying handguns so you have to wait several days so they can do a background check on you, but apparently buying any other type of gun is fine?

    Again, facepalm. :sigh:

    Illegalizing the distribution of guns and other weapons probably helps, but it won't solve anything.

    After reading about this recent shooting, even though this is a tragedy, is was also the most absurd thing I have heard in a long while.


    The shooter was claiming to be the Joker for crying out loud. Obviously belongs in a mental ward.

    Number one reason I want to learn how to sword fight, guns are too mainstream. I did hear about this but excuse me if I must say this is one of the many reasons outside of checking the weather why I don't watch the news at all, because it's all the same stuff over and over again.

    Or he's feigning insanity to get out of jail time. Stuff like that happens alot, and quite a few people can get away with it.

    I don't think he'll get off on Insanity. To be legally "Insane", you have to be more than just regular crazy. You have to have no idea why you're doing what you are doing, act impulsively, and be bereft of any concept of right or wrong. That sort of thing is par for the course in legal insanity. The very fact that he prepared for this, thinking out his actions ahead of time, is a pretty good way to tell he won't get off on insanity. He murdered people, and they're going to put him away. It's only a question of how long and where. Of course, that's if we have an ideal jury, lawyers, and judge. There can always be a hiccup in the system, but I just can't imagine that happening this time.
