The future of the Internet

So I posted this on tumblr already but I thought id post it here to spread to a wider audience and spread the message more, as its pretty important.
So as it say's we really need to spread this message across the web to inform people that we are not rats for politicians to observe and control. Here is the link to my original tumblr post:

    He's right on one thing. The fact that internet became a part of everyone's lives. Therefore, the internet needs laws. Those laws will need to be upheld. The only way to uphold them across something like the internet is with control over the internet. It's not the same as upholding normal laws. Control has to be maintained unless you want millions of people to commit internet crimes and be capable of getting away with it. A factor like human rights on the internet will open a big door to many such criminals.

    That's what every single politician will be saying, and they won't give a crap about what people want.

    A Bill Of Rights seems the most logical course of action, however I highly doubt you'll get every Country, Multi-National Corp, ISP and anyone who's an Integral part of the Internet to agree.
