The New TMNT Series-Pilot Review

I've been a Ninja Turtles fan since the original cartoon was on in the late 80s/early 90s. There's just something I love about the concept, and when I heard that Nickelodeon got ahold of it, I wasn't sure what to expect given their recent track record. I went in with an open mind and I'm pleased to report that they nailed it. The show is obviously made by folks who've been fans as long as I have because it has everything a fan would want to see while still doing something fresh with the material and making it accessible to kids who've never heard of the Turtles before. Each of the four Turtles gets their own little moments to shine throughout and I gotta say, it was great to hear Rob Paulson in the cast (although this time as Donatello rather than Raphael). The new take on April is interesting to say the least and I'll be curious to see where they go with it. I like how they introduced the Utroms (here called The Krang) and hearing Kevin Michael Richardson as The Shredder at the end was just awesome. All in all, I was very impressed and I look forward to following the series to see how the story unfolds. THUMBS UP!
If you care, new episodes will air on Nickelodeon on Saturdays at 11AM.
