The Problems with Staff

Yeah, we all know where this is headed. Hell. We've been there. We've done that. Do we really need more of this?


That answer is yes. Except this time, we're not saying names. This is the staff in general.



For one thing, most of the higher-up staff is extremely distant from the community. They do things from behind the scenes and have little to no involvement in the community itself. These staff members know who they are.

Staff members are constantly alienating the users by not being open and in general not being welcoming towards the newer users in general. I have seen this firsthand. And I am guilty of this, myself.


There are a variety of things wrong with the staff. Inactivity. Laziness. Anger Management Issues. (You know who you are.) Staff Members who are prone to grudges. (You know who you are as well.)

There is far too much secrecy and far too much contempt even in our own staff. Even with the site, as outstanding as it is, we cannot look past our differences and argue over extremely petty things.

So yes, my dear users of the Everypony Community. The staff is not all it's cracked up to be.

In the end... we may call you childish, but in reality, we are the childish ones. For we cannot overcome our own differences for the sake of a greater purpose.

I will continue to do what I think is best for the site and its people. Everyone here. Everyone here deserves that much.

    woah, someone that mentions the whole staff not being what they should be. This is neat, the question is, are you guys gonna fix it or ignore it?

    my opinion on staff should be known, I don't like any of them. For pretty much the reasons you listed, fix that and my opinion will alter.

    Assuming that all of the actions listed above were indeed perpetrated in the serious light they are being put in:

    I do not blame the staff for doing these things. Everyone does these things on occasion. But the staff should be an example for the other users. Therefore, if the staff is seen doing such things, the users will naturally assume they can do them without fear of retribution as well.

    So basically, even though you're not perfect, you need to be perfect. ;)

    Thank you for this, at least one of you is willing to admit things need to change. I am sick of the denial. The entire staff needs to recognize, admit and then fix these HUGE problems.

    Also we as members should be allowed to point out staff probelms without getting article 301d
    when I brought up the issue of staff inactivity, uselesness, and laziness I was threaned.
    Then fed a bunch of disinformation and denial.
