"One of the biggest political scandals in modern American history, maybe in all-time political history." Oh sure. Nevermind the gulags, holocaust, Iran contra, Gukurahundi, countless other tyrannical dictators like Lenin, Mao Zedong, Hideki Tojo, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot...

Oh, and of course, racial and religious profiling is a necessary thing. Sure it's an inconvenience for the innocents targeted, but it's not some kind of unequaled tragedy like political profiling. Remember kids, profiling is okay as long as you're not the one being profiled. High crime rate among blacks and Mexicans? Profile 'em! Muslims have been behind terrorist attaks? Profile 'em! But wait, what about the Christians that were behind terrorist attacks on abortion clinics, including bombings, arson, and attempted murders of staff? Profile 'em--what? Oh we don't profile Christians because of the acts of the extreme few? Makes perfect sense. If only we would extend that same courtesy to everyone else.
