This is not f***ing happening...

I was sick today, and i had hot water. Because i was making tea for my headache, i went to bed early. My little sister was still awake, i don't know what happend. I heard her scream i got up and ran downstairs and my sister burnt her hand. Shes in the hospital now...And i don't know if shes ok or not...:cry:

    I just burned my hand like 30 minutes ago making tea, but really, she got burned bad enough to go to the hospital? Ouch.:cry: I absolutely hate burns, even more than deep splinters.

    Yeah...The burn was like...REALLY bad, her skin was fleshy and steaming it was awful....:ahh:

    Sounds like a second degree burn. It'll take a few weeks to heal, but it'll heal with little to no permanent damage. Were there large bulging blisters on the surface? Also, did you attempt any first aid?

    And when I say damage, I mean things that affect the function of the hand. Scarring is likely, but it's cosmetic in nature.

    Second degree. Damage to surface tissue, but likely not much to anything below the skin. If she was treated my medical personnel soon after, they'll have been able to prevent the factors that cause permanent damage to muscles and tendons. So try to relax, worrying doesn't help. She'll have scars on her hand but no significant impairment of function.
