Posting more suited titles for my blog now. Won't be easy if I'm going to be doing this everyday.

Worked on a little something. Later went to fix the radio and install some speakers in my car. Now the sound is twenty percent cooler than ever before. Finally, finished watching 2001: A Space Odyssey. That was it.

Now, its time to read my thoughts on music and my hatred for a specific genre.

So yes, music is wide and diverse. Is there more to a song than the lyrics? Is voice really necessary to a tune? Heck, I don't know. In recent years, music has become more interesting to me with out a voice. I find the sound of an instrument to be more important than that of a singer. I may be saying that I hate singers as they take more credit. Doesn't exactly mean I do hate them. I mean, when was the last time you heard a song and said "I wish I could hear this without the artist singing". If never than...dang. Maybe you may not be into this as much as I am but I can understand. There's more to music than just hearing someone sing. Music should be heard and not just listened to. Now if there ever was a genre that just sucked because of its awful lyrics. That would be reggaeton. There's alot of music I can tolerate but this one is the worst. If it just wasn't for its dumb lyrics it would at least sound good. I know because I've heard remixes. Dozens and dozens of repetitive, sometimes voice-less, remixes.
So there you go. You just read lyon's thought on music and his hate over a genre of it. I can bet my love for luna that anyone that hears that stuff has never heard any other genre of music in their life.
It sucks and I don't like it >:C

Whelp. Sometimes I just have to hear music to see if its better with or without voice, but thats just me. There are a few exceptions.

    lol I like Reggaton as much as the next guy unless the next guy is a compulsive liar

    I think that music is a universal reflection, and true musicians are just messengers of that reflection. lyrics mean nothing to me.
    The voice is just another instrument being played, It doesn't matter what the words are.

    I've never heard Reggaton, so I'll probly check that out sometime. Personally I'm a fan of metal, stuff like Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, and Bullet For My Valentine.

    I listen to songs for both their music and their lyrics, and i really can't stand it when a song has everything awesome except the lyrics. On the other side, if a song isn't particularly good but has good lyrics, I'm not likely to like it either, though i may attempt to do a cover (is that the word?) of it and make it sound better.

    Lyrics certainly have their place in a song, as do all the instruments, as if you can combine the lyrics and other instruments right than the song can sound so brilliant.

    For me what tends to more sway me to a song is contrast, or difference. Basically, if a song is the same the whole way throughout then I'll often tend to dislike it, as I'll get bored of listening to it halfway through. That's why i personally tend to dislike Dance, PoP, and whatever genre Lynrd Skynrd is (Free bird is good at the solo, but I honestly can't put up with five minutes of the guitar for that).

    What I'm trying to say, is that for me, if a song has good contrast (Beautiful Mourning (Can't remember who plays that) for example, though not one of my favourite songs personally), or good, meaningful lyrics (Dyer's Eve by Metallica) then I'm likely going to like it.

    Oh, and i also tend to dislike remix's (the kind of things you have DJ's doing where it's just some other peoples work and you're putting in a tiny bit of your own stuff, or none at all.)

    Whew, that became quite a rant, I get rather passionate about music. ((Oh yeah, and I know it isn't really related, but you have - Monday -2, and - Tuesday - 2 in your blog titles, shouldn't it be - Tuesday - 3))

    Looks like I got confused with the dates because I post these around midnight. Silly me :p

    Yes, lyrics do have an important role. I just have a different method of hearing music.

    Rex! why?! xD Don't matter. Like I said, I just don't like what they say. The beat is ok.
