- Week 19 V3.0 - Twas The Time before Christmas - 12/22/2013

3 days and it's Merry Christmas. Followed shortly with the new year. Meaning this will one of the last blogs I'll make this year. My god, has it already been a whole year? One never realizes what has and hasn't changed until they stop to see the view.

I came home on Wednesday. The trip went swell. My car's engine didn't burn all the oil it had this time but it did leave it at halfway. Once home I settled myself in and gave out a huge sigh of relief. Home sweet home I thought. Although I felt that were still many things I left undone back in Monterrey. Don't matter. The most important was taken care of. Now I need to unwind and get myself ready for some holiday shopping and just before I left the city, a couple of my friends asked me to buy some things for them from Texas. One wanted a Wii U and the other a cologne. Of course, they did give me the money needed but the exchange rates are absolute crap. Which turned 4800 MXN into 355 dollars.

I wanted to go last Friday but boy let me tell ya, that line to cross the border was as far as far could be imagined. I was going to cross with my grandma but the line never finished. Since dawn to dusk to pitch night, that line never ended. It's nothing new. Specially around this time of the year. People from all boarder states come to cross to buy for the holidays. A major income for the US. That wall would've been a death sentence.

I know what I want for Christmas, do you? I at times would ask my friends if they plan on buying anything for Christmas. Many say no because they just can't afford anything. Which funny because they say that all year long. The point I'm trying to get at is that one should reward themselves with a little something during December. Even if it's just being home and catching up on their favorite TV series. Buy that one special item from the store or anything the one has always wanted throughout the year.

Yeah so celebrate a little and forget what you were doing. Come new year, you can go back to what ever it was you were doing with a fresh new start. Now is the time for pleasure. Mental, emotional or physical.
