Greetings, everypony. I feel as a way to make my presence properly known here, I should start doing some musings I see with the brony community, particularly the musical side of the fandom, where I tend to dwell. First let's talk about the genres within this field. There are literally hundreds of brony musicians out there in dozens of fields, though dubstep/electronic music tend to have the most musicians, ergo they have the most amount of listeners. However I'm not going to spend my time only on the electronic part of the base, but everyone, every genre. That said, as a rock/metal musician, there's not a lot of us around in comparison to the wubbers and dubbers. There are some popular and amazing rock/metal acts in the fandom, most of which are a pretty tight-knit group like Prince Whatever, Acoustic Brony, Bronyfied, Mandopony (Though he's a bit folky at times), and of course myself. There are lesser known acts again like myself and guys like Caine the Doombringer and Mixolydian pony who do great pieces of work, but don't have as much exposure as the others. That said, call this a rant, rave, observation, or a call to action, but I wish there was more metal in the fandom. Even more alt rock would suffice, since it's not so dissonant compared to metal. Don't get me wrong, some of the electronic stuff's great, but a little bit of good ol' classic rock would never kill anypony. I'd call it straying off the beaten path, taking a walk on the wild side, going where few ponies have gone before.
