  1. I'm not your average pegasus, and I wouldn't make a good weather pony. You can't tell by looking at me, but my wings are different from everypony elce's. I can fly, but not very well, and I prefer not to. I would only ever fly in an emergency. My wings were like this when I was born. My father was a famous racer, so it was very embarrassing. When I was a filly, I had to take special classes just so I could fly at all. My family and I had always believed that it was just a genetic defect or something, until one summer my parents took me to Ponyville Lake. When we got there, I don't know why, but something just felt right. I ran so fast that it must have looked like something was chasing me. I made a beeline for the water and dove right off the end of the dock. My parents were shocked. I had never had any swim lessons before, so they were more than a little nervous. By the time they made it down to where I had jumped, I was swimming as if I had been doing it for years. I just somehow automatically knew what to do. I was laughing and smiling and my parents told me that it was the happiest they had ever seen me before. My Cutie Mark had appeared! I could swim very fast too, I win almost every swim contest I enter. I didn't want to leave when it was time to go, I felt so at home in the water. My parents quickly took me to my doctor to try to figure out how I could swim so well. They brought us to a large swimming pool that is usually used for therapy and recovery, and asked me to swim while he recorded what I did. I happily jumped into the water and started swimming. When he showed us what he recorded, my parents were astonished! When I swam, I used all six of my limbs to steer and propel myself through the water. But it was more than that, it looked as if I was flying underwater! We had an x-ray of my wings done, and what we were told it showed astonished my parents even more. My wings were never built for flying in air, they were built for flying underwater! None of the ponies at the hospital had ever seen anything like it before. Currently, I am a swim instructor at Ponyville Lake, and I am practicing for the International Equestria Swimming Competition. I still feel most at home the underwater, and I can hold my breath much longer than your average pony. Well, that's my basic background. If anypony needs to know anything else about me, let me know.
