I have been considering hosting an Everypony Minecraft server, but I need to know if it's worth it, basically. So, post below if you will play on it, how active you will be, and what type of server you want it to be. Freebuild, Survival, etc. Give me feedback, and if enough people will play, I'll start one up.
Role-play... Role-play noa... lol but srsly I'd play it (Even though i have been) and i'd be active (Like i was) but i think it should be role-play...
I love Minecraft, but I haven't been able to find a good server. I'd love to see an Everypony Minecraft server! I believe there are ways to get a little bit of everything on one server, have a few specially designated areas for each type of play.
Well, he did it with pics, but I'll do it with words. Minecraft is a very simple-looking but incredibly addicting game in which you can mine resources, craft tools and weapons, and build pretty much anything you want(as you can see). In single player, the primary goal is to build anything to help you survive night-time, in which various monsters come out and attack you, but in the online multiplayer mode, depending on what settings the server has set, it can be for just building without having to worry about being attacked, or for role-playing, or pretty much anything people can do on a server. Also, I'd like an Everypony server. I don't care what kind.
Do want I agree, I'd love to see this happen. Probably it could have Craftbukkit Plugins like "no fire spread" to counter the trolls. That way they cannot burn your wooden house down while you're away gathering supplies :3 And we should have different areas, like a flat ground for Freebuild and Pixel Arts, and a huge city for Roleplay.
If this happens, I will buy minecraft in a heartbeat. As long as no creepers destroy my tribute to Fluttershy.
I suppose it's decided. I will have a server up once we have full plans. So far, some people want just vanilla, some want freebuild, etc. What I've heard so far is that you want a large, flat area for pixel art, and an area for a large roleplay city. That's awesome, but it would mean everything can be spawned. If you guys are ok with that, then so am I. Also, we would need to discuss things like donations. I would never keep a profit, but obviously Minecraft servers are expensive, and I can't keep this going alone forever. Either way, decide on what you guys want, and I'll start a server ASAP.
It costs money to host a server there? Gosh, never knew that. e.e How would we donate? Like through paypal or something?
Rainbow Dash is Velocity. Name: Rainbow Dash Superhero Name: Velocity Age: Late teens to early twenties. Background: Representing the element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dash would never double-cross anybody. She has a 'need for speed' and always wanted to be a professional flyer. Dash was always pestering the Wonderbolts to let her join, until they disbanded. It was the night that they announced their retirement that she became Velocity. She put on her old Nightmare Night costume and searched the streets for anypony who needed punished. It was that night that she saved her first pony, Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus was about to be mugged by the griffon, Gilda. Dash swooped in and had a rather dramatic fight with the lion-eagle hybrid. The fight resulted in Gilda's wings being damaged indefinitely. I would donate if it is something I ended up liking. I would try it out first, but if I did like it, I would certainly donate.
I still need to purchase the server. Also, how do you guys want build rights to work? We want to protect from griefers, but I also don't know how we should hand out rights, either to people posting on this thread, people who fill out an application, or etc.
well i know i hate filling out apps, but maybe because its a brony server, they have to answer question about ponies? and then they get rights?
