Capcom's new game "Asura's Wrath" will be hitting the shelves soon and I thought I'd download the demo because, to be frank, it looks boss. If you didn't get the pun, then you need to know about the game's epic boss battles. Beings the size of planets, massive turtles and fist fights on The Moon. Capcom is really throwing the action at it's buyers. Although it looks epic, I somewhat feel that the gameplay could suffer due to the very frequent quick-time events which makes you flick up the analog sticks every now and again. Can't say much about what the game will be like in full, but the demo really did catch my attention, and the thought of playing as a six-armed demi god who can repel the gigantic finger of a seemingly planet-sized novelty laughing buddha, just seems too epic to ignore. The game screams individuality. For all those intrigued, here's the giant gameplay trailer:
I played the demo of it, the game itself was fun and cinematic. My only complaint would be that there seemed to be an excess amount of quicktime events.
Played it for roughly six minutes at last years MCM Expo. It was fun, but I'm really not a fan of action titles like this. And yes, WAY too many quicktime events. Not a big fan of anything Capcom has made, really. But: Credit where credit is due. Fighting an enemy larger than the planet you're standing on was Awesome. With a capital A. I dare you to play that level without feeling like a boss afterward.
Bumping a year old thread due to relevance: HOLY CRAP. I finally bought Asura's Wrath today and I'm like... whoa. The boss fights are incredible, the cutscenes are incredible, the soundtrack is incredible, everything is incredible. 9/10 for sure.
Really have to agree with you there, something tells me your favourite character was Yasha. As much as its Bull**** you need to pay for a true ending get the DLC for it. The ending added with the DLC is just sublime (assuming you haven't got it already)
This looks like a parody of some sorts. Anyways, the game looks nice and playable, even with the frequent action sequences. I hope Asura will be controllable freely, like Kratos in GoW series. For the game to be good at this point, it only misses a good scenario. And i know Capcom's games aren't always focused on that. I'll have to try the demo myself, then...
.....I've been wanting to play this since it came out, but I can't find it anywhere. To Amazon! This looks like something I'd put with my anime collection rather than with my other games.
