Remember those old games from the 90's you just can't forget about? What are your personal favorites?

I personally enjoy the old PS1 final fantasy games (6,7,8,9). And through Playstation Network, god bless them, i was able to buy them all and play them again. Haven't had this much fun in years, tbh. I also have the GBA versions of FF1 to 5.

Other games that stand out for me are the first 2-3 generations of Pokemon games, the REAL Spyro the Dragon :)P), and Crash Bandicoot.

    See, easy right.

I love pokemon yellow. That can was so awesome.

I'm a huge fan of crash bandicoot and MGS.

Digimon world is still my favorite. Anyone else play that?

Never been much of a Digimon fan. Always seemed like a bit of a Pokémon rip-off series to me. (Even though i don't remember which came first. :p)

    Anyone remember this?

Recently, the Sonic Team has been trying to relive the old days by making an official Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (split into Episode 1 and 2) as a follow-up to the last original Sonic game. I don't quite feel the new games though. I downloaded the old games from Xbox Live, and those were still alot more fun. :p

I'd love them even more if i could play them on a Sega Genesis... :sigh:

I was never a sonic fan. It's just not my kind of game.

I know a lot of these games I never beat, curse my young gamer body not being up to the task.

Like banjo kazooie. I still havnt beat that.

The big name games don't really bring all that much nostalgia. It's the lesser known games that give me the most nostalgia.

-No Pokemon or Digimon it's Monster Rancher ftw!
-Instead of final fantasy it's Koudelka and Legend of the Dragoon
-Instead of Twisted Metal, Vigilante 8

    I always have weird taste

I simply adored this, and the music drove my parents insane. XD

When I was very young, we had a SNES with a few games on it. My Dad got rid of it long ago, but when I replayed these games, I got nostalgia. The one's I remember were:
    - Super Street Fighter II (I think - I can't remember which one exactly)
    - Super Mario World/Bros
    - Yoshi's Island

Also the Gen 1-3 Pokemon games give me lots of nostalgia. These games make me really wish that I was older so I could really appriciate these games more.

I wasn't old enough to use the game boy when it came out, but I grew up with a game boy color. I still have my first game (Super Mario Deluxe) in my room downstairs. I have yet to beat it! XD

I love old RPGs where there was no cynicism and friendship and the power of love were integral keys to beating the bad guys.

This game in particular is awesome. A character actually bursts out into a musical number in the middle of the game in an FMV.

Who remembers Xenogears? Otherwise known as the far superior precursor to the Xenosaga games? Edgy (for the time) religious references, a complex plot, interesting characters, a fascinating sci-fi world, and GIANT FREAKING ROBOTS in a turn-based RPG!

Legend of Legaia was one of the most underrated RPGS ever.

Wow...The first Console I ever had was the ye olde Game Boy. Yellow, plastic and a sturdy alternative to cannonballs. The only thing I ever had during the 90's. Generally, I tried to play games on other people's machines. That said, I played a decent amount of stuff until I got my PS2 and my GBA.

My Dad received a Game Boy while in Hospital at some point and I remember him playing it about three times before ultimately loosing it to me. It came with Mario Land 1 and 2 but I then got Donkey Kong and Mole Mania a following Birthday. The Mario Land games are really good though. They're made by some other bloke that was free while Miyamoto was making another Zelda some place else. I never managed to beat either game until years later when I got bored and found the first one in a GBA. The other was when I tested the emulators on my Wii. Weird, disjointed from the rest of the games but good fun none the less.

The thought occurs: does anypony remember Mole Mania on the Game Boy? I still have the music in my head and have still not been bothered enough to actually finish it. It's a little odd as it's a Puzzle Game with bosses that you defeat by rolling cabbages and cannonballs into. Decent enough though.

It's a shame I ended up playing most of this stuff on this side of the Millennium as I didn't have access to the equipment till later on. On that note, I am loading games onto my Android Phone now. Gameboy, NES and a ZX Spectrum, just for fun.

My brother and I had a SNES and Gameboy Color when I was very young. Unfortunately, I was too young to appreciate them fully. My first real experience with a games console is my Gameboy Advance. I still have it and I love it like it's my son. I'm never getting rid of it. I've lost many of the games for it, the only one's I have left are the Pokemon Games. I still play it somewhat regularly, it's a great way to pass time when you're bored in class.

Although recently I bought a Gameboy Color. I've only got Pokemon games for that too, but I'll play with it too.
