I'm big into fighting games nowadays, which I grew up with: Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear, Tekken... But for now, I'll say Mortal Kombat, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age are my top ones.
Contra. The original was the game I played most on my original NES. I also spent more time on Hard Corps for the Genesis than any other game (and I don't care what anybody says, Hard Corps > Alien Wars). The whole reason I even bought a Nintendo DS was so I could play Contra 4. Super Contra gets my vote as hardest game in the series. I can pull off an original Contra run with no continues (haven't managed a no-death run yet, but give me time), and have likewise completed the insane Contra 4 on the hardest difficulty level with no continues, but I've never successfully beat Super Contra.
Halo and Zelda. Not as much a Halo fan as I used to be, but I still play through the Zelda games every now and then.
Assassins Creed Some companies hype their games to no end, and when it's eventually released, it's a crappy or just unimpressive game. But when Ubisoft hypes up an Assassins Creed game, THEY DELIVER! I have high hopes for AC3 as well. I know Ubi won't dissapoint. I guess i can say the exact same for GTA 5 and Rockstar. It's hard to pick between the two.
I love fighting games Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Blazblue, Street Fighter and Tekken I like to play all of these. Mortal Kombat has always been my favorite fighting game though.
Need for Speed. My dad and I used to play those so much, we had NFS 1, 2, 3, High Stakes, Hot Pursuit... Dad still has #1 but lost the rest to my oldest step-bro stealing and selling them. I now own Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted, Carbon. Since I've played them since they came out and kicked butt on them they are my favorite series, and the one's I've played have been good to love. I am a gear head I haven't really tried other series besides 1, 2 and Anniversary editions of Tomb Raider, some of sims. For Final Fantasy I've only tried 10 and disliked 13. I have only played 1 of the Cod's and watched my friend play halo.
For me? Hmmmmm..... I have to go with my gut here... It's a toss up between the Elder Scrolls and the Silent Hill, Even with all it's game flops. Hard decision indeed. EDIT: I know what series I like the best... PONG!!!!!
Legend of Zelda. Well at least if we leave out the Nintendo DS ones. And Elder Scrolls is my second most liked
Hm... That's hard... POKEMON! No, LEGEND OF ZELDA! No, Um... ELDER SCROLLS! Wait, not it... Metal Gear Solid? Mario? *names a bunch of different game series* I DON'T KNOW! *Head combusts*
I have to say the Hitman series rank very highly. Then there's the Sonic franchise when it was still 16-bit. Final Fantasy is good too, minus a game or two or three. It's hard to pick.
I'd have to say Pokemon, no question. I played Red about a year after it came out and got so hooked on it I skipped sleep at least once trying to get to the end. I was 16 then, and I had to put up with A LOT of teasing and rude remarks and that hurt, but I didn't let it stop me. I've played all the main-series games so far and I'd say my favorite is Pokemon Black (Can't wait for the sequel!). My favorite pokemon are Pikachu, Tepig and Victini. At least partially because of my autism, I've always had a very vivid imagination, and when I play Pokemon, it's very easy for me to imagine that I'm a part of that world, going off on a great adventure.
This is a somewhat hard statement to make, but I'd say Need for Speed is my favorite game series, although I haven't played many of the recent games. As a kid I played just about every one of the games from the mid 90's to the mid 2000's, and was legitimately entertained by every one of them. NFS Shift was really where I stopped playing them though, and I haven't picked up another one since then. Pokémon is right up there, but I can't quite give it number one. Armored Core gets an honorable mention, seeing how many of those I've played over the years.
Exactly the same with me. I love Pokemon. I had all the main games at one time or another (except Green cause that is a Japanese-exclusive). And I have all the DS Pokemon games (except Platinum cause I lost it, but I have a ROM on my computer of Platinum though). Pokemon is an extremely important game to me and have been a Pokemon trainer since May 16, 1999. I can relate to you AspieHooves on the autism thing, cause I have Asperger's Syndrome and use to get bullied for it. I might be a 80 year old man and I will still love Pokemon. I just beat Pokemon Black 2 and I enjoyed it. ^_^'
