If necessary, a mod could merge the two. Anyway, as you all probably know, generation 6 has been confirmed to be released in October this year. If you don't want any spoilers, I'd suggest not looking below this sentence. I've posted the whole Pokemon Direct video that announced this, but if you just want to see the new stuff, skip to 7:16 in the video. While the overworld still looks a bit rough, I can assume that it will be improved and/or look better on the actual console. Also the grass starter seems to be my favourite out of the 3, but I'll have to wait to see the evolutions before I decide. Also this can be a general pokemon discussion thread (unless you want to use the old thread for that).
I'll be honest. Chespin looks derpy as hell to me. I like Fennekin and Froakie though. This looks great, and hopefully the trailer is accurate in that older generations of Pokemon will also be available. <3 Cel-shaded Kirlia.
Ooh! Ooh! I have theories as to why X and Y that we can discuss! It's either Algebra (variables), Genetics (X and Y chromosomes), or dimensions (X and Y axis)! Yay! Discuss!
It looks really very good. But when will they release a new pokedex which isn't full of Naff-looking Pokemon? G4, 5 and 6 pokemon just look a little meh to me... But I guess I haven't seen the whole G6 Pokedex yet. Eh. Anyway, I might accidentally have to get a 3DS now. :S

I figured that it's either one of the last 2. I think it may be dimensions because the 3DS uses 3 dimensions (X, Y and Z). I'm not even watching any trailers or news. They always get me too excited and make the wait feel longer. I will be getting a 3DS for these and Fire Emblem in the meantime. In fact I still need to finish playing through my Generation V games... Gods I'm behind.
I'm probably getting the one with the cool moose thing. Also, Fennekin looks like a Fire-Type Zorua, IMO. EDIT: Mouse? That wouldn't make a good legendary :L
Fennekin is obviously the best. I really like the deer legemdary, so that's the version I'm going for!!

I've always wanted them to eventually move from sprites to 3d models. It'd be a shame if the 3DS pokemon game wasn't 3D (in my opinion). And I think that the cel-shading still keeps a slight sprite-y look to the models. Although gen 3 remakes would be awesome. Hopefully after this comes out, Game Freak can improve on the game and produce amazing remakes (like they've done every generation).
Im standing by the fan theory that the 3ds barreir was broken to help with the water effects with a remake of the hoeen series (ruby me bro!_
Apparently the mascot for X is named Xerneas (at least in Japan) Also, the Y version mascot is named Yveltal (in Japan) Funny, Yveltal is almost twice as large as Xerneas, but Xerneas is heavier.
