Being a fighting game nut, MK9 is up there in my favorite games of all time. (Cyber Sub all the way) I also love BlazBlue, though I'd have to literally go to Japan to play it on a competitive level. Marvel 3 used to be good, until Chris G came along and ruined that for me. And of course, the Fighting Is Magic game has been on my interests even before I got into the show. But for my favorite game of all time? Doom. NOTHING beats Doom.
Either UT or Quake. I grew up on twitch shooters. I even played Unreal Tournament 2004 competitively when I was a little kid. Weird.
Series? Hmmm... I can't decide between Star Wars: Jedi Knight and the Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter Nights series.
*brohoof* I'd have to say that's my favorite series too, though it's kinda tied with Serious Sam, Crash Bandicoot and Warcraft for me. xP Okay, well, it beats those by a bit, since I used to (and still do) play CnC games so much.

I don't know about you, but Pokemon X and Y have me more excited than most Pokemon games have in recent history. It feels very different and new. Like that 11th birthday years ago when I first got a copy of Pokemon Red.
