With any luck, Derpy will get her own episode. Just tweak the voice a little. The woman who plays Ditzy Doo/Derpy Hooves in the "Doctor Whooves and the Assistant" radioplays would be perfect.

Excellent news. Some episodes in Season 3 felt a little rushed like the finale and 'Keep Calm and Flutter On', but hey, they only got 13 episodes for the season so I suppose they had no choice but to squeeze potential two parters into one episode.
I think her hair represents her mood. When someone is upset or not feeling themselves you'll sometimes hear the phrase "he/she looks deflated" and when you think about it, when Pinkie Pie is upset or not feeling like herself, doesn't her hair look deflated? Its just a personal theory, it might not be the case at all.
Some of the episodes only felt rushed because they could only be around 22 minutes long. They had to be able to cram all the story into TV show length, and they did a good job with what they had. I hope that just the regular friendship lesson episodes remain the same and anything story-character related only stick around as two part episodes. And with Season 4 starting, some awesome sh*t has to happen with alicorn Twilight and maybe a new potential villain. Looking forward to maybe... September? FML.
I also like her that way, she looks pretty good with it. Hope that sometime she'll have her mane like that without being sad/angry/upset. (although, I doubt that will happen.)
I wonder when we'll actually get release dates for both MLP FIM Season 4 and LPS Season 2 both of which were confirmed to have 26 episodes in them two weeks ago?
A new season usually starts 6-7 months after a previous one ends *unless your Adventure Time then your on & off with new eps all year! XD* But odds are MLP & LPS second seasons will start 6-7 months after they end, so probably September for MLP, November again for LPS. But thats just my guessing. It could be a longer or shorter wait, we will most likely get a rough estimate of MLP season 4's start date at Comicon this June. As for LPS the HUB should have an upfront in the coming months, hopefully things like LPS S2, Equestria Girls S1, TFrime S3, Dan VS S4, etc's start dates will be revealed at that. *knock on wood*

Excellent news. Regarding the show and "fan service": it's not really a fair accusation. The writers wanted to bring back Trixie in season 2, and I'm sure they were also looking forward to Discord returning. It's not terribly fair to say the show is including fan service because the periphery demographic gets itself hyped up for certain things that happen to be included. If you want the show to stop resembling your fanfiction, then stop writing so much danged fanfiction!
Personally, I've seen some fanfics that would make really good episodes. There's no sin in fan-service. Just as long as no... baked goods related... content slips in.
