I'm rather suprised this hasn't been done yet so I thought i'd start the ball rolling. I'd have to say my favourite game would be Warcraft III - Its Battle.Net gave it so much replay value due to its massive community who constantly made new and interesting gamemodes for its community. Least favourite would be Wolfensteins latest incarnation, had so much potential but its singleplayer was short and rather similar to every other shooter. But the worst thing was when I tried Wolfensteins multiplayer, I swear when a player was damaged the character would yell "Mein health is low!" - Because of course in the heat of the battle thats what you would yell whilst you were being shot at! So what about all you others, whats your favourite/least favourite game?
Wow, War3 player... how come you haven't registered on hiveworkshop.com? Anyways, favorite game? ...PLOK! Least favorite game? ... well... I... oh... erm... let's say... Bubsy the Bobcat. I hate that game.
I wasn't aware hive workshop existed whilst I played it :S Stopped playing it a while back after the discs managed to get permenantly lost when I needed them for installing, and the manual as well. Still my favourite game but never got around to getting new copies. :S Heres hoping Blizzard decide to take a break from WoW to make a Warcraft 3 sequal.
I think... my favourite game has to be Sonic Adventure 2. I pretty much grew up with that game. It's been the game I've been best at for a long time. I recently lost my memory card, so I have to play through the game and get the 170~ emblems I had before.... I am looking quite forward to that. But I have more recent games to play until then. Least favourite game.... I don't know... I don't really have a least favourite. I wanna be the guy?
I have no favorite game, but I know what game I hate the most. Big Rigs over the Road Racing. I've played almost every bad game to date, and it still takes the prize of worst game.
Funny thing you mentioned that, me and a couple of other guys are sick of waiting and trying to make our own unofficial sequel in the Starcraft II engine And on that note, my favourite game... eh... couldn't say but I dislike COD atm. Would it kill them to change the formula just A TAD!?
Favorite game: My Sims (the original for PC and Wii). Reason: It's just the only game which makes me forget about everything. I love costumizing the whole furniture! It was what I loved the most, which the other versions of My Sims fail to replace. Can't really like the others safe for the characters. Least favorite game: Final Fantasy VII and Smash Bros Brawl. Reason: The first, because of hardcore, stupid fans who bash Zelda. And because I seriously can't sympathize or like any of the characters, especially Cloud and Aerith (actually, had nothing against Cloud, but after knowing he was a copy-paste of Zach, I lost any respect or likeness towards him). And Smash Bros Brawl was a game that was supposed to be fun, but the original one was far cooler than its sequels. The rest had missions and other minigames, but this one was just enough lame for me to hate it, and as boring as pretty much all fighting style games.
That actually sounds pretty promising since their both similar game styles! If you can, try and keep me informed about that, always wanted to see what warcraft would be like with starcraft 2's engine
This is why I installed Brawl+. It crashes on any of that bull, so only fighting against CPUs or friends.
Well, let's see: Most favorite: Alright, so I always move on to another game whenever one game gets old, But probably the one that hooked me for the most time was Anno 1503. It's old as heck now, but it still doesn't fail to be one of the best games i played. The reason? well, first of all, the difficulty. I love difficult games, and this one is no exception. There's always some point where stuff goes crazy and you go into ungodly tension to save yourself. The best example for this would probably be when you have a hemp plantage (needed for boats ) in a secondary island, pirates atack the boats brining it it to your main island and you want to build military ships to atack those boats but you realize you can't because you are missing the Hemp. Least favorite: ...uh...well... I've been lucky not to stumble upon any really bad games, and I'm not planning on purposefully do so by any means.
It's still boring. And all those trophies... Meh. I don't care about achievements and trophies! That's not what Smash Bros was about xP Another good game... Shame on me. I like Super Mario Bros for Wii. I have fun killing my friends and watching peeps killing their friends xDDDDD Another bad game... Castlevania for Nindy 64 got on my nerves. But maybe because I'm lame at playing that xDD
Castlevania for Ninty 64 is bad. I've played it, it is really bad. Get Super Castlevania IV instead. Uhm, I rarely get stickers and trophies in Brawl+, since you can only get them by a 1 in 30 (?) item chance or by a Pokemon. No single-player mode, no wi-fi. I do prefer Brawl over Melee, but I prefer the 64 version over both of them. I'm just like that. I've played so many bad games that I want to set up a site where I can just post a review of all games that I've played. It's a huge list of several hundred games.
Another bad game... Anypony else hated the interactive games for both Wii and XBoX? I must be the only one. I can't like those games, they're... Eww xP Pick one. The wrost so far.
I already said it- Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. I'd rather play Pac-Man or E.T. for Atari 2600 than Big Rigs. Those games can at least be somewhat enjoyable. Second on my list- Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.
My favorite game is Xenogears for the PS1. I picked it up as a rental when I was probably less than ten years old, got to a part of the game, and stopped playing it out of fear. Years later I bought the game, played through it entirely, and it's had a place in my heart ever since then. If people thought Feeling Pinkie Keen was controversial, then they had better not play Xenogears, because it will pluck every religious string you have. Definitely one of the best stories I have had the pleasure of experiencing not just in video gaming, but in any form of media. As for least favorite, I can only really think of Need For Speed: Shift. I've been a big fan of that series of games since it began, but I haven't really been happy with the direction it has been going in the past couple of years, and Shift is just a continuation of that for me. I did see a new Hot Pursuit game in the store a little while ago though, but I haven't really thought about picking it up. That label brings back good memories from when those games were all about supercars, and police chases.
I really cannot name a single game that I would consider my absolute favorite. All my life, it has always been between Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger, both are RPGs on the SNES that I spent the best years (1995-1997) of my life with. One week I'll prefer Mana with its bright and color graphics and amazing soundtrack, but a week later I'd be touting Chrono Trigger as my favorite because of artist behind the character designs and the incredible battle system. However, I'm much quicker to pick out my least liked. Final Fantasy X for the PS2. Terrible characters and character designs. The story sucked(don't get me started on that ending...) The only saving graces this game had were in its battle system and soundtrack. It was after Final Fantasy X came out that it became clear that Square was losing touch with itself. The main man behind the series was out of the picture, the long-time composer had been brushed aside for a lesser known talent, whom was good, but was no Uematsu. Probably the worst of all was that long-time character designer and art director Tetsuya Nomura was set to be given his own series and eventually control over the Final Fantasy series, which many believe(myself included) to be the biggest mistake Square has made in the last decade. Remember Advent Children? All those lousy Final Fantasy VII spin-offs and prequels? Yeah, I don't either. Second would be Kingdom Hearts. I cringe whenever I see a modern Tetsuya Modern design.
My favorite game is a tie between Homeworld for PC and Megaman Legends for Playstation. My least favorite game has to be Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
My most favorite game I'd have to say is Mass Effect for the Xbox 360. I prefer it over the sequel, because I enjoyed the back and forth confrontations with the Council, I preferred to hunt down my minerals rather than just launching off probes, more planets to land on and interact with, and I preferred the combat system. The sequel is interesting because they introduce a lot of new characters, and the combat system is interesting. I'm also a fanboy of the storyline lol. Least favorite game would have to be Baroque for the Wii. The combat, which is about 99% of the gameplay, was horrendously repetitive. It also irked me that every level had a timer on it. I just hate feeling rushed in a game, as I prefer to take my time and explore. The storyline seemed like it would be interesting, but I couldn't get past the gameplay to enjoy it.
well, my all time favourite game would be Ristar the Shooting star. It's game for Genisis/Mega Drive back from 1994. It's 2D platformer. It's about little star, Ristar who is son of big hero, and his mission trough game was to save galaxy from evil aliens. Music and graphics are just outstanding for 1994. least favourite game: Sprinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Simply too hard. Game is like impossible to complete, and story is just kinda too regular.
