Just. Wow. I don't even. Just. Okay.

By all means, show us these 'studies'. Using 'study' as a buzzword does not automatically make you correct if you cannot back it up. I would like to hear more about how this 'study' was conducted.
I don't even understand your breathing non-argument. People automatically breathe, yes. What's your point? This does not say anything about the connection between religion and the human psyche.
Known fact? I would also like to see where you got this idea from, because honestly this was unknown to me. Guess I must be braindead or something.

I agree with you in that there are some things you simply don't have a choice about. But this doesn't go for religion. Being human doesn't automatically make you religious.
    Your assertion:
    human --> religion
holds no ground. You're not backing it up. This is not a properly formed argument. Why would having a human brain automatically make you religious. How does that work? Tell me, O He Who Has Conducted Studies. Enlighten me so I have something to argue against. This I can't even work with.

"I refuse to debate a topic I willingly posted about in a thread filed under Serious Discussion on a discussion forum"
Can you see why it's hard for the rest of us to take you seriously?

Science is not a religion. Scientific methods are not rituals. They are a way of debunking or confirm theories and expand our knowledge about the universe. Science is definitely not 'sacred', and in the world of natural science, one must always doubt everything we know and remain sceptical. You are proving nobody wrong. You aren't proving anything.

    Look who's talking.

If I seem disrespectful, it is because you yourself have refused to show any strain of respect for anybody else in this thread. Don't call people braindead if they disagree with you. Listen to other people's arguments instead of acting childish. Learn to form an argument so we actually have something to argue against instead of acting like a stubborn five-yeah-old.
And if you don't wish to debate or show normal human decency, stay out of all forum threads everywhere. None of them are the place for you.

(EDIT: I seem to be quite late for this party. Woops. I don't know how that happened.)

Slowly catching up, and I come across a point where we are compared to serial killers for disagreeing. Okay then. This is now on level with the "gays urr wrong" thing.

I'll make this one point then can we move on? He said he was a southerner which hits me that he wouldn'tve backed down no matter what please keep in mind though not all us "southern folk" are like this. Thank you and next scene please!

    tl;dr: I don't believe in God. I don't have a religion. I am self-aware enough to know this.
And I think you all are faaaaaaabulous!

EDIT: Of course I don't assume all of you are like that. Frankly, I was offended that he used his place of origin to explain the way he acted. Assuming all southerners are alike would have been racist of me. Or state-ist. Uh.

Here's my thoughts as simply as possible on religion: While I am a Catholic Christian, and I will likely always be so and wish to be more involved in my church than I currently am, I do not believe in Creationism or other things like that, I believe that the best path of 'belief' I guess is to have a mix of science and religion. I believe that when God said, "Let there be light." the Big Bang happened, and I also believe that God does not directly interfere with our world, he is simply a guide(or shepard as the Bible says). I do not take the Bible word for word, and I think that it's outdated in some cases. I believe that everyone is entitled to their own belief/religion or lack thereof, I simply don't like theological arguement as it can flare up real easy (as seen earlier in this thread). People will believe what they believe and some will try to force it upon others, it's simply the circle of life, but to base your view of an entire group off the actions of a few is foolhardy and simply just plain wrong to do.

    That is all

    More of this everywhere please.
The Bible really states some terrible things every now and then.

Also, just a general thumbs up to your post. Look, I can respect your religion and you can respect my lack thereof.
We're all so respectful towards each other!
    Ponies and stuff!

I think basic human decency has been along for longer than MLP. I am, however, still going to post this:

Because I will never not find it funny.

Sorry, I think I've seen too many slightly rapid bronies on the internet lately.
Like, people who almost worship MLP religiously and in all seriousness go "OMG BRONY" whenever the word 'tolerance' is used.

I have missing people's jokes. Going to drown my sorrows in milk now.

Well sadly I missed out on participating in the flame war this thread created but oh well! As to the tolerance and jesus being the first brony (lol) no matter where you look most religions teach some form of tolerance in one way or another surprisingly. Now if you were to look at my religion it is rather aggressive and some may even say barbaric but it teaches tolerance through observation. The first legitimate lesson I learned from my readings was that if it is not good for the whole then it is not good at all. So personally I may hate something personally or disagree with it, that does not give me the right outright to destroy that thing if it is beneficial to either the whole or majority of the community. However if it wrongs me I can destroy as revenge is an acceptable thing. But I must tolerate it up to that point of wrong doing to me or my loved ones. As to the rapid bronies who worship the show and the whole 'love and tolerate' thing I've not come across that.

Again, the 'Jesus was the first brony' thing was a joke...

Oh look, it's me, umm....ok, so Religion....Let's see, I am a devout Christian, I believe in Spreading the Word of God to those who have not heard of it before, because everyone should have a choice in Life of what Religion, or Lack thereof, to follow, but not in the sense that I go around shoving it down peoples throats, It's not my choice to make if you want to follow Christianity or not, it's yours. Because if you want someone to listen to you respectfully it would help that you treat them with respect in the first place.

Soo yeah, not much more that I feel I need to say unless someone else brings something up.

Also, Jesus and ponies, a perfect Match xD
