    I was thinking of making this thread the other day but I never got round to doing it. Anyway, I'm not too keen on it since it seems unnecessary. But apparently Mewtwo is playing a big role in the next movie so it will probably be explained there.

    Hopefully the rest of the new pokemon will be original. And hopefully this will mean that Mewtwo will return in the next Super Smash Bros.

    I actually don't mind this at all. It's certainly better than the ice cream pokémon, or the lamp one in my humble opinion. I'm just waiting to see what they do with it.

    This is no less original than any other pokemon. I mean, Grimer is just toxic sludge, and Voltorb is a lame excuse for a pokeball mimic. I think you're overreacting.

    You could argue that for any video game series with more than one game in it.

    Although more on topic, I've kind of gotten used to this thing. And the starters and legendaries look decent as well.

    Every gen of pokemon has some that look off. Even gen 1, it has it's fair share of strange or "dumb" looking pokemon.
