I might buy it, in a couple years. I'm usually behind the curve on buying consoles, so that would be when I buy it if I do. They haven't released enough information to deny most of the crazy claims against them, which is dumb. Microsoft should be more in-touch with their customers. If a lot of the terrible things turn out to be true, then of course I won't buy it. If they aren't, I'll wait a while and buy the next version they release of it in a couple years. I'm happy with what I've got for now.
I could go on all day about how little I care for this generations gaming consoles. I'll stick to very light PC gaming and my pre-2k consoles, thank you very much.
Yeah, no. Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with this. With an Uzi. And they haven't let go of the trigger yet.
I'll wait to see what others think of it when it comes out. I will most certainly not be getting it on the release date.
^ Pretty much this. I really have no desire for any new consoles. I may buy a PS4 in a few years, once prices have come down, also given there are enough games that interest me by then to justify it. Otherwise I 'll just keep playing the games I have already.
If I do buy it, it will be like 2 or 3 years after it comes out or when the 360 servers get shut down. Unless I get Google Fiber!
I'm in the love with the Wii U but there is a much better reason I'm not terrible interested in the Xbox One. When Microsoft shuts down the cloud servers to the Xbox One when the next cycle starts, your old Xbox One becomes worthless. I'm not so much buying a console as I am renting one for an extended period and it dies when MS says it dies. In fact, what if Microsoft has a major server crash (bound to happen eventually). What happens then? Is everyone just banned from playing their single player games? I also don't get why everything needs to be done on a cloud service. So far their sharing policy is virtually identical to just bringing a game over to your friends house.
Generic question: "Do you want an Xbox One?"
Connecting to the internet once every 24 hours to play games? lolnope http://kotaku.com/xbox-one-needs-to-connect-to-the-internet-every-24-hour-511751949
E3 is just around the corner. There is still time for Microsoft to say 'Okay, we know this is a mistake, so we're not doing that at all.' And if they do that, yes, I'll buy it. If not? Hi there PS4 and your vastly superior company!
Whatever happens, I'll stick to my 360. Maybe when the One comes out, they will lower the price on Gold memberships. Not.
Already pre-ordered a PS4. I voted because in this case you'd still lose money by buying an Xbox One even if they gave you money... And the fact that you can use a joke like this in a serious context makes it very very sad indeed.
Going to buy an Ouya console. Never had an X-Box, and by now I`m sure I know exactly why. Stickin` with Sony and the newcomer here :-D Poor people who don`t follow the news, they`ll not now what happens once the XB-One starts to blame them for bringing their friends xD Have an awesome day, Greetings
I've always liked the Sony game systems the best i've never been big on Microsoft systems or Xbox in general so there you go there's my answer.
Going to wait on E3 for more information before I decide instead of whining about it like most people. Most "current information" out there is speculation and rumor. In the end it all depends on what system my friends go with, so I can communicate with them.
Not anymore. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/06/07/xbox_one_internet_required_after_all/ No offline games after 24 hours. No rentals as of right now.
