I'm not really looking on buying another console, i'm good with my wii and Xbox 360. Buuut you never know if it's good or not...But really, after a few weeks/month's and everyone(And i mean everyone) is complaining about how bad it is then i AM not getting it.
If they choose to completely revise the Xbox One and it's 99 problems, it'll set them back a few months at least. Sony will still get a major head start.
I just got my 360 not too long ago, so I'm not in the market for awhile ha. But even if that wasn't the case, I would still wait a year after the release date before buying it, so that they have time to work out the glitches on it. Although I don't think I'll be interested in buying an xbox One at all, mostly because 1) I don't have xbox live and it seems to be a very internet-dependant system and 2) I keep hearing that it's a big piece of crap and 3) I've still got like a hundred 360 games I wanna play yet.
Well, i'm clearly in the minority but I think it looks interesting. I for one don't have many consoles and a shiny new home entertainment system is pretty appealing by itself, let alone any games that happen to exist on it. Depending on how much it costs having a blue ray player, game console, and internet box for my TV all in one package sounds good to me. On a side note, if all you care about is games, just buy a desktop computer. You can get double the specs for half the price and the games are in whatever format you want them to be in, from your choice of a million publishers and retailers.
I don't think I'll buy it because oddly im in love with my wii i got in 2010 still, And when I game its mostly on PC or on my cousins Xbox,
And Sony doesn't already. Chances are I'll pick up a ps4. I'll look into an Xbox if fable 4 isn't complete doo doo. Which I suspect it will be. I just don't want a social media system. I want a gaming console. Sony isn't really any better in that department and wii is a toy. So yay. All next gen sucks.
This. Sony always had the upper hand when it came to quality. In fact, the only thing i think is truly superior about Xbox (this generation and previous ones) is the design of the controller. :I They really think this franchise is still worth another game after the trainwreck that is Fable: The Journey? <.<
Spoiler: fable rant Okay. Imma side track the thread for a moment. Fable has many things about it that would make it a marvelous game. Fable the journey was in my opinion made to help sell the kinect. It should have never been made and I gladly ignored it. Peter is just becoming George. He took a really great franchise and tried to make it better not knowing what made people like it in the first place. Fable 1 was by far one of the best Xbox games ever. Everything just worked for it. Then fable 2 comes along with all these promised improvements. Sure melee combat got better and range worked fine, but they ruined magic. It was way to overpowered. Not to mention the lies that we're thrown in. Peter says you plant a seed and it will grow a tree over time. What he doesn't say is that time is forced upon you in the spire. There is more but ill keep fable 2 short. Fable 3 was almost built off of lies. Hero weapons, Peter claims they have 88,000 combinations for them. They changed base on what actions you do during your game. It's a shame that there are only 8 or so appearance changes per section of the weapons. Magic once again was overpowered and this time was a far bigger disappoint. Mixing spells, how could that go wrong? Peter claims spell combos are unique, they aren't. They are just stacked, really force push and ice just knocks everyone away and leaves a blizzard over head. Why couldn't it have be an ice done that explodes ice spikes. I'll stop now. I could go on for awhile about fable 3. All the pieces are there for a great game, but Peter doesn't understand. I hear he left lion head though. Well at least Xbox has next gen fish AI.
Xbox One will use blu-ray technology for its game discs and for DVD. HD DVD can only hold up to 15 gigs single layer, 25 gigs dual. Blu-ray doubles the capacity. Otherwise there's no way you could even run any major next gen game. - - Auto Merge - - They obtained a license. The same way any other manufacturer would. Now a rumor was floating around that MS could face a few obstacles getting such a license (Sony holds a special contract that makes blu-ray a console exclusive to Playstation), but it would only delay release for a few months if such an obstacle were actually to happen. It's an old rumor (mentioned before the reveal); provided MS has confidently announced blu-ray support, I imagine this issue never happened or was quickly solved.
I don't know if this counts as getting it, but my dad is getting one for the living room after showing it to him. He loves all the TV, Movie, and Sports things we all joke and hate. Maybe Microsoft did make the right move in marketing toward TV watchers. :/
http://kotaku.com/microsoft-is-removing-xbox-one-drm-514390310 Faith in MS, slightly restored. Remove the Kinect requirement then maybe I'll reconsider. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Well, I'm excited now that Microsoft is backing out. Maybe now I can bare my dad saying the Xbox One will be our "living room console."
Now that they have taken all the garbage out, I will be getting one, but only after a few years after it is out I'm still happy with my 360.
The "Games with Gold" program is doing alot to redeem Microsoft in my eyes, and the news that the Xbone is slightly less crappy now almost makes me want one. Almost.
Im gonna say no for the simple fact that their really aren't any titles that have been announced for the Xbox one that stick out to me.
