What was the worst game of last year? May I present Ride to Hell: Retribution? *video removed for content*
Angry Birds: Star Wars. I'm going to guess that the game was created for the sole purpose of selling more poorly made, overpriced merchandise.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is a contender. Might make a fair Top Five. But yeah, Day One: Garry's Incident could be the worst.
Unfortunately I now know "Day One: Garry's Incident" exists and I have you all to blame for that. At least this guys explanation of the game play was funny.
Colonial Marines, which was one big lie. I just want a scary Aliens game for once, is that too much to ask? *Looks at Alien: Isolation* Oh my, what's this then?
Oh man, there are WAY too many to choose from. For me, it would have to be Beyond: Two Souls. Beyond is a disgusting game only made worse by the fact that it is competently put together from a programming standpoint. It's full of terrible design decisions, has an awful story that tries to sound deep when it's actually really stupid, and it's full of the David Cage's ultra cliche non-sense including obligatory rape scenes and pretentious set pieces. Lest we forget the disgusting message of "miss your dead family? Just commit suicide!" To me, it's worse than Colonial Marines because that game, at least, is blessed to be forgettable. The story of how it was made stands out more than the game itself. Same with Garry's Incident and a few other games people have mentioned. They're really only memorable for things surrounding the game, rather than the game itself. Beyond though is a game that will stick with me forever an an example of how not to make any kind of game, ever.
Another game i'd like to mention is "Gone Home" Yeah i know it received some good scores, but it's downright boring.
We can still hope. Oh. Well, that's pretty terrible. I guess I'm glad I didn't buy any of these games.
