And Sonic should have disproportionately gigantic leg muscles, but that would look horrible on him too.
the scaling was off so i fixed it. It's just such a ridiculously drastic change. I can understand them perhaps beefing him up slightly, since he's supposed to be the strong'un, but... It's just so over-the-top. And terrifying.
Funny story about that actually... According to a Facebook page I follow, within 26 minutes of it being announced. There was already porn of it. Damn internet, you scary
I never really liked any of the Sonic games. If some folks want to make some for themselves, I don't take issue with it, but I guess what I mean is that even if it lives up to the standards of its predecessors I still might not enjoy it. I didn't have video games growing up as a kid; I got a Wii and a Gameboy Advance SP when I was thirteen and an Xbox 360 when I was seventeen, and from there I got into games on the PS3 and the PC. Maybe it's because I didn't own video games before my teenage years, but the concept of Sonic never appealed to me; by the time I started owning video games, Sonic looked like a tired concept with not much new or fun being added with each succeeding iteration. I hope this next game has something new to give Sonic, but what can be added at this point?
I grew up playing a quite a few Sonic games, good and really bad. *cough Shadow the Hedgehog cough* I felt as if the series was getting back on track with Colors and Generations, but this one... Iunno. Pretty big chance it can be bad, but I'm not saying it won't have a shot at being good.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I played both the 3DS and Wii U versions last week. And it's a pretty mediocre game on Wii, I'll be honest. It seemed like the majority of the game was on auto-pilot, for the beginning at least, and it just didn't seem to add a whole lot to the series other than bandages, EnerBeam and Sega's new OC, Sticks. That said, the Enerbeam's pretty cool, but not worth buying the game for. If you're gonna buy Sonic Boom, buy it on 3DS- That version's not so bad, at least from what I've seen. Sticks is also exclusive to it, so if you want some official OC action, that's the way to go. Mind you, I wouldn't get excited over Sticks. She'll probably have the same unfortunate fate as Blaze, the personality-less cat.
Large game websites, for all of you who haven't heard, have been Refused copies of Sanic Boom by Sega. That's a sign they're trying to hide something- perhaps how broken the game is. Game developers should totally play-test games before releasing them. Play-testing is good. The show also sucks. The very first episode was about Tails getting injured (in an uncharacteristic show of incompetence), and Sonic firing him for his own protection (in an uncharacteristic show of concern). What followed was an idiotic "sidekick tryout" that served only to showcase the new character designs, and showed that Knuckles and Amy are now complete idiots. I wanted to like the new Sonic, but they've made it impossible for me to do so.
Considering that every 3D Sonic game has been sub-par, to say the least, I don't think I'll be buying this. Why is there hype, again?
To be fair, Sonic Colours was pretty fun. Probably the only 3D sonic game I've ever genuinely liked. I mean, I enjoyed a couple of the others, but for all the wrong reasons. MARIA. Also, I'm not sure there ever has been hype. Everyone knew the game was doomed from the day it was announced. We just loved poking fun of Knuckles, because bloody hell does he look funny.
Shadow The Hedgehog will always be my favorite Sonic game. I mean, seriously. He's like Sonic, but with a gun and a Harley. Also he kills people. Like, lots of people. While Sonic is cracking jokes and trying to avoid Amy, Shadow is massacring anyone dumb enough to get in his way. I've noticed a suspicious lack of homicidal hedgehogs in Sonic Boom.
