Alright, so I am super in love with the band Skillet right now. Thought I should make a thread about them. Post whatever you feel about the band.

Personally I love their sound, it really gets me pumped in their hard rock songs, and gets me to think and feel in their more meaningful music. I also love how they are not afraid to talk about the Word of God at their concerts and in their songs. It is really comforting and makes me feel proud of my religion and want to express it.

I don't much care for Skillet.
It's not the fact that they're a "Christian Rock" band (though that certainly doesn't help), as much as it is that so many of their songs sound derivative, with uninteresting, occasionally downright angsty lyrics.

I'm sure I would have loved this band in middle school, but that was a long time ago.

I've seen their shows online I can only dream of going to one. And Jen is such a baller she is such a good singer too one of the reasons why Salvation is one of my favourites!

I can see what you are saying but to me their sound is something I find myslef really enjoying and I find the lyrics are great in most songs and in some cases incredibly inspiring(I am 17 tho)

To be honest I've heard quite a few skillet songs and I only like two of them, Monster and hero.

They play way too much Skillet on a local rock radio station I listen to frequently. I never really enjoyed them, their songs are far from anything original imo and the lyrics are often trying to hard to be depressive and highly repetitive. They're far from "bad" (I don't hate any forms of music) but I don't want to keep hearing Not Gonna Die every time I start my car. Seriously...stop. idk if it's like that on other stations, we've only got like one rock station where I live but they just love them it seems.

    Yea, this.

Skillet is awesome even though I've only heard two of their songs.

This band isn't metal enough for my tastes. Given that the average person doesn't bleed from their ears at the sound of their music, they're just insufficiently metal.

My sister went to their concert once a couple years back (she's into them; a bit less nowadays maybe), and I kinda like their music okay. She got me a shirt. I have a cool sister. She draws ponies, but also RWBY stuff now.
